Lorraine huffed boredly in the morning sun. It was gonna be another hot day. She stepped into the cool water that was near by and took a nice drink from it to help her wake up a bit more. She shook her mane from her face and looked around. What did the day have instored for her today? Lorri walked into a clearing feeling a little more awake than before.

Ah, what a fine morning it was. Even if the day would soon turn a bit too warm, the mornings were always nice. A calm before the storm if you would. At least for this stallion. The day time was always lazy during his first summer it seemed. Though the mornings and night is when he was most active.
Yiska hadn't been paying much attention to the world around him. Not even the scent of other nearby Soquili would turn his head. He was enjoying himself. Knees lifted high as his curly tail bannered behind him. Feathers fluttering here and there. He just was in a very good mood.
Through the tall grass and jumping a small brook. He let out a deep rumble of a chuckle as he amused himself with his foolish actions. Making his way through the forest, he soon came upon a clearing he was quite familiar with. At least now he was in readily known territory than what he had been traveling through previously. It almost felt as if his adventure hadn't really gone by all that long. The days seemed to fly by in an instant.
Digging his hooves into the soft soil and grass, he soon took off at a gallop across the clearing. Curls streaming behind him as he let the wind carry his dark body along. A small smile stood out amongst his white face which was another feature of his own which stood out on him like a sore thumb.

Lorraine looked in the direction of the new scent wafting to her. She looked in the direction and saw a verry happy looking black, green, and white stallion. He hadn't seemed to notice her though. She watched him and he seemed to be oblivious to her presance. She watched for a few more moments before nickering a greeting.
Lorri trotted over to him and smiled. "Hello. How are you?" She asked happily. She was happier with other soquili around.

Yiska froze in place as the mare approached him. Drat. He had been caught prancing around like a fool.
Turning his head, he gave her a sheepish grin. Light green eyes looking her over slowly. She was purple. He tried to recall if he had ever met someone purple...but no. No memories of such a Soquili came to mind. Turning his large body to face her now, an ear twitched a few times. "Heya. I'm just fine on this morning. Just...uh...stretching my legs is all." He pretended to stretch out each leg, bending at the knees a few times with a few groans. Yea, that'd work.
His head tilted slightly as he noted the mare's markings with a smile. They were truly interesting. Different. "And just how are you this morning Miss....?"

Lorraine surpressed a giggle as he streched his legs as if to prove that he had really been streching. She was sure she hadnt met this stallion before. He didnt look like any one she had previously met.
"I'm pretty okay. Oh, I'm Lorraine. Or Lorri for short. And you are?" Her green eyes smiled with a shine. She hoped she didnt look to much like she had only just woken up. Though she was sure she hadn't. She had just saw her reflection in the brook. She fliped her mane a bit to situate it out of her eyes.

Stopping his mock stretching, Yiska gave a flick of his curly tail. "Well Lorri, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Yiska. I don't really have a shortening of my own name as it's pretty short already. So....I guess you can just call me Yiska." A wide grin spread across his pale face as he straightened up. Good posture, head held high. It was something that had been drilled into his brain since birth by his father.
Of course, he wasn't the schmoozer like him. But at least he knew how to hold himself in the presence of others. Or at least others he wasn't too familiar with. First impressions after all.

Lorraine grinned happily. "Happy to meet you indeed, Yiska." She continued to smile. His naame fit him. It was exotic..or crazy you might say and fit his looks, witch were nice, and his personality. "I like saying your name. Its diferent from every body elses." Lorraine mouthed his name a couple times, just for fun. It kinda reminded her of dancing. But she shook that away. She wasnt going to break out in random dance. That was ubsurd.
Any ways she straightened up a bit before he thought she was crazy. A soft breez blew into into the growing heat and she realized how hot she had become. Lorraine looked to Yiska. "Sould we cary our conversation in some shade?"

His grin had not faded as he gave a deep rumble of a chuckle. Curiously watching her as she mouthed his name. "Well. Of course it's different. If we all had the same names then we wouldn't be able to tell who was talking to who in a crowd. My whole family as interesting names I would suppose. My parents are Chu'mana and Hok'ee. While my brother is Vasu'Raj and my sister is Shadi. Well... I suppose Shadi isn't as....flourished as the rest of ours."
Yiska hadn't forgotten about the days heat. Sometimes he wondered if it would ever end. This was his first summer anyway. But knew that fall then winter would come. But when he wasn't sure. "Sure. That sounds like a good idea."

Lorraine nodded when he named each member of his family. " You have a nice family it sounds like. Theyre names are verry nice too. Id tell you my parents and siblings names, but it seems as though I don't have any."
Lorraine never saw this as a problem. Of course it would be nice to have those things but she had never minded it. She moved into the cooling shade of a tree whos branches streched out far. "It is true though, if we all had the same name it would be pretty confusing." She giggled a little at the picture that played in her head of a crowed of soquili all of the same name. It was quite funny really.

The stallion moved along with her. Once reaching the shaded area of the tree, he stretched out his legs before tucking them underneath his large body and lowering himself into a comfortable position on the ground. "Everyone has family. It's just some don't know their parents or siblings. Things happen and your parents might of had to leave and go somewhere....or something like that."
His tail flicked across the grass behind him. Making a soft swooshing sound. "Yea. It would be. Everyone would have to stay away from everyone else or something just so it wouldn't be. Or be numbered. Like...Your Bob number one and this is Bob number thirty....you get my drift." He chuckled and shook his head. Black and green feathers rustling against his neck as he relaxed against the cooler grass.

Lorraine shurgged. "True. I supose I just dont know mine, obviously." She smiled and layed down as well leaning slightly on the trunk of the tree. At last a breez blew gently and barley detectable. Her flowered mane ruffled feather like against her neck.
Lorri giggled at the explination. "Yeah I know." She looked about and coult see waves of heat in the distance. "So, do you stay around in this area alot?" She questioned looking at him as she began to feel a whole lot cooler.

"Not really. I'm actually journeying right now. Not to anywhere in particular. Just getting out and seeing the world. I've spent too much of my life lingering on the area of land that my mother and father live. I want to see the world." He smiled lightly at that thought. To see the world was his ultimate goal in life. Yiska knew there was more out there that he wanted to see.
Snapping out of his thoughts for a moment he smiled and looked over at Lorri with a bashful grin. "Do you stay around this area a lot yourself?"

"Well thats understandable, going after what you want in life." Lorri smiled. "No, I don't really stay any were. I roam around in any wich direction my hooves cary me. Kinda like you, I guess." She sighed happily and watched a small bird swoop from a tree and disapear into the tall grass.

"Ah, I see. Have you traveled to places outside of these lands? I'd like to do that some day but first I'm gonna start by exploring here then moving outwards to other lands eventually." His ears swiveled as the sound of the bird dissappearing into the tall grass caught his attention.

"Hmmm, well I cant really say I have. But it does sound exciting." She wondered what it would be like to go to other places, and what they would look like. She imagined bright flowers and hills, but that was probably far from what they looked like. Lorri turned her head back to him. "So, have you found any thing interesting while roaming, Yiska?"
