Donkey Konga

The player must hit the drums (with either or both of their hands) and clap (the sound of which is detected by a microphone built in the controller) in time with the music. The player must use the DK Bongos throughout the game, while the regular Nintendo GameCube controllers cannot be used at all, although an error in the game allowed wireless controllers to be used. Symbols that scroll from right-to-left across the screen show what the player has to do. Successfully playing builds up the player's life bar and earns in-game coins that can be used to unlock additional content, which includes more difficult songs to be unlocked, mini-games, or the ability to replace the standard 'bongo' sounds by other noises such as a tambourine or barnyard animal noises.
