Donkey Kong Jr. Math is one of Nintendo's first edutainment video games where the player must solve math problems in order to win. It was released in 1985 for the Nintendo Entertainment System as a launch game but was released for the Famicom two years earlier as "Donkey Kong Jr. no Sansuu Asobi" (loosely: "Donkey Kong Jr.'s Math Game"). The game was released in the United States before the NES ports of Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong.
