·:Update on my s**t-filled birthday (yes, this is a pity party...):
Foster-mom promised to take me out to dinner and bake me a cake; she did neither. Instead, for my 18th birthday, she bought me a really ugly shirt that's too big and acted like she had just given me a car. Then she rubbed the $50 price tag in my face saying "Look, it used to be $50" but the "used to be" tells me that she got it from the clearance rack.. so she really only paid about $15.
Now, I've ALWAYS been nice to this woman despite her being a tightwad. When she took me up to my apartment a few weeks ago, she saw that I had a pool and said "Oh, you should get me some passes so I don't have pay to take David* and his brother to the city pool." (*other kid that lives here) ... sure I might have done that just to be nice. Two weeks later. however, this conversation happened: "Hey Anna, would you be willing to get rid of that dining table* upstairs?" *Table is cheap and hasn't been used in 4 years. "Oh no honey. When you move out, um... we're going to um... move furniture around and uh... that's... well that's... We're gonna put the TV in the living room and that's going to be David's TV-stand" (let it be noted that there's already an entertainment center up here that's MADE for the TV... she just doesn't want to give me anything.)
So... to say ‘thanks’ for the wonderful cake she (didn't) bake for me, I found a box of cake mix and put it on the glass cake-display thingamabob with a note saying nothing more than "THANKS!" then covered it with the glass dome lid.
I'm moving out next Saturday though so I won't have to put up with this.
For some reason the cable company has yet to cut off my internet like they were supposed to do on the 30th. It can go at any second though.
I have boxes everywhere and nothing would make me happier than for today to be next Saturday (11 Aug) so I can get out of here.

Even though it sucked, Happy Birthday.
I think 18th birthdays suck for some reason for everyone. (Maybe it has something to do with Chinese astrology and the opposing sign?)
Muwahaha, I re-move-out in two weeks. Aaaaaaaaaah. Nothing like being at home... to remind you how nice it is away. Mmpsh. Work time. burning_eyes

Wow, that sucks. I'd say happy birthday, but it doesn't seem so, plus I'm somewhat late. =(
Hope it gets better for you, though.

My birthday wasn't awesome, but I can't say it sucked (that was directed at Forgedawn). Just not memorable, but have any been since.... 12?? rolleyes
Meh. Lame/full-out terrible birthdays are just more incentive to really enjoy being away from home, right? (is excited)

(is excited)Mine didn't all-out suck, just ... ...what you said, yeah. sweatdrop But you'd think a guy's birthday would be a little less crappy than this, you know? At least not on purpose (random chance/fate/whatever can't really be accounted for. Hah, my fortune cookie says I'm to be showered with good luck before my next birthday.) Red August, you want I should mail you my fortune? I've been getting some good ones lately. pirate Is for birthday presents.

I am neither Jewish nor particularly old, nor was I aware of that being a stereotype... O.o
