Equis was being as Lazy as usual, leaning boldly on the bars smooth dark surface.
they never got many customers this late at night. but while his human's family snoozed peacefully in there rooms on the second story of the Cafe, he decided out or sheer boredom to keep the shop open till he decided to go to bed.
having been used to the empty stillness of the Cafe for the past two hours, he was surprised when the door sudenly opened.
jerking his head up, letting his claw thump limply onto the counter. he thought at first that no one was going to come in. until he saw a familiar tiny bird like Numa.
the Massive Coffee let out an exasperated sigh, not exactly wearing a welcoming face.
scowling he reached a claw out to a rag sitting next to him and started whipping down the already dry counters.
"little out of the way to be showing up here isn't it? and at this hour?"

he raises his eyebrows, jerking his head to the side, straining his neck slightly as if to pop it.
odd little bug, crazy... even pretty frighting the way he talked, impressive for a fluff ball his size,
Equis did not pretend to understand what he was talking about. Science and learning was not one of his strong points.
at the Pocket Numa's last question Equis stiffened, almost threateningly
"yeah its my humans- Look you going to order something squirt?" he rushed though his reply, cutting it off short as if deciding last second not to answer.

"Juice" Equis grumbled under his breath, in an almost exasperated manner, then started bustling around under the counter. his eyebrows narrowed as if he was struggling to hold his comment... or claw back.
returning back up, he placed a glass down in front of Starly, and filled it up with a random kind of juice he had grabbed, not having bothers to ask what kind of juice Starly wanted.
"there" he grunted, pushing it towards him. then retreating to the wall behind the counter, leaning against it and sitting at a Mug he had left there. staring at Starly.
"I've got lots of soft spot," he said, though with a hint of warning in his deep tone "I've also got claws that can crush any skull they want. got it?"
his mouth twitched slightly at his last words, and he looked away from Starly. seeming to have remember a little to late that he was not supposed to threaten the customers.
