Basking in the warmth of the sun was none other than the leopardess Weusinafsi. Her maw opened to let out a yawn as she shifted her form from her side onto her belly. The female had fallen asleep sometime early in the morning and was waking from her rather pleasant nap rather late in the afternoon. It didn't seem to bother her that she had slept a good chunk of the day away, in fact she seemed rather pleased as she stretched her limbs out.

Once stretched out Nafsi settled back onto her haunches letting her pink eyes scan the area around her. It was a rather pretty and colorful place the pridelands and she was enjoying the time she had been spending. She hadn't been able to recruit anyone new to join her in her travels with Rengo but it didn't matter much to her. She was happy with the company she already had.

The black, white and pink lion interrupted her thoughts and she started to look about for him. They hadn't spent much time together since arriving in the pridelands.

The reason of that was probably Rengo's great thirst for knowledge of this land. He'd learned much about the pridelands and had even come to speculate weather he was distantly related to the royalty here or not. Names floated around and all of that and once or twice he'd caught wind of 'uumikaji', his grandfather's name. Though most comments had been in a negative light so he'd let them pass with out much thought.

He was strolling through the golden blades of grass with an almost dopey smile stretched across his features. The afternoon was lovely and the warmth was amazing, even if it was more often over-powering. Nafsi had also slipped through his mind during daily explorations and he kept thinking how he hadn't seen her in a long time. He worried if she'd gone on with out him, he'd be rather upset if that was the case. Not only did he want to learn more of the lands but he'd grown rather fond of the conversations and companionship of the adult leopardess.

Just as he was thinking these things he glimpsed a spot of green among all of the gold. His smile grew a little brighter for a brief moment and he headed in the direction, certain it was her. "Weusinafsi!" He called out; no longer was her name a mouthful for him. He was not the small juvenile she'd first met. No he'd grown up quite a bit since they'd first met. His mane was growing in lovely and his limbs had stretched out, he certainly looked more like a lion should look. So he thought, anyways.

The leopardess never once thought of leaving the young lion behind. Despite her intentions not to grown attach to anyone or anything she found herself growing fond of the pink maned male. When she heard his voice call her name she smiled and turned to face him.

"Mirengo'Kauta." The female purred in delight shifting her body position so she could approach him. "Do you like the taste of the pridelands?" She questioned with a light tilt of her head as she moved toward him. She stopped a slight ways away and sunk back down to her haunches. Her rather long tail wrapping around the tips of one of her paws.

"You seem to have busy, I haven't seen you very much since we've arrived." She spoke in a cool voice, she didn't want to show that she had ended up missing his company. "Have you found anything interesting"

He grinned at her and sat a bit away from the leopardess, facing her. His tail flicked freely behind him. "I have been busy! I've been exploring everything... I think the origin of my family is from the pridelands." He said slowly and carefully, wondering breifly if she'd find that interesting at all. Speculating on is he came to the conclusion that maybe it was only something interesting to him since it related to him... and had nothing to do with Weusinafsi.

"It's beautiful here... the land has taken a bath in gold paint and it has dried to the very earth of it!" He grinned more, eyes floating around as he said this. "Even the lions here are golden..."

Nafsi nodded her head after he finished speaking. "Did you find any members that you might be related to?" She asked with true interest in the matter revolving around her traveling companion. It was after all good to know as much as you can about another. Although currently she was just interested in Rengo period. After all spending lots of time with one particular individual did that some times.

"I'm glad that you are enjoying it. It really is a beautiful place." She stated in a rather dreamy tone. "One of the most beautiful places I've been to. The most beautiful would be that of the ocean." Her tail flicked ever-so slightly when she finished speaking and she shook her head to get rid of her slight day dream.

He shook his head slowly. "Not anyone I was related to. I've just heard a few relative's names on lips of strangers.." He let it passed but was put at ease when she seemed to be interested. He'd be interested in her family... so it made him happy she was equally interested in his.

The ocean? His head moved toward the direction he thought the ocean was in... but really he had no clue. "Could we go to the ocean next?" he asked softly. He'd never been there, he had a general idea of what it was... and if it was the most beautiful place Nafsi had been then it must have been stunning. Though Rengo was beginning to feel a slight pull on his heart, a pull for home. At least... he wanted to make sure all was well with his homelands and with his mother... he hadn't really said goodbye all that properly and she was probably very upset with him. But that could wait, right now Nafsi had a stronger pull on his heart! So he would go where she led him.

Nafsi frowned ever-so-slightly at this. "Perhaps you will find one of them soon?" She offered with a light smile. Then out of curiosity she questioned, "Would you recognize them if you saw one walking by right now by any chance?" It was just a simple question with no hidden meaning behind it of any sort. She simply wondered if he would.

The leopardess then nodded to him. "Of course, we'll go where ever you want me to take you." She told him. Her thoughts then swirled to that of the ocean and it's vast waters that seemed to stretch on endlessly. To never end, to go on as far as the eye could see and farther. "Tell me when you want to leave."

She had a slight feeling that he wanted to return, she didn't know how long he wanted to stay there but she knew that she had had this feeling since shortly after they had left. Since they had arrived in the pridelands at the very least. Truth was she wanted to keep telling him of places that he would want to see so that she wouldn't have to take him home because she enjoyed his company so much.

He gave a weak smile at her statement and his face grew more serious when she asked if he could spot a relative as they walked by. He thought a little and then shrugged. "Well the dominant colors in my family line seem to be a dusty brown color and a charcoal color. Except I think any family in the pridelands would have simular coloring to my grandfather; red." He didn't actually know that Uumi and his twin were more of a rare coloring for these lands. "But red does not seem a common color in this place so... no, I don't think I'd be able to spot them." He shrugged and chuckled at this, deciding he probably hadn't needed to have such a long answer for such a simple question.

"We should leave in two days time... is it a long travel from here?" His head tilted curiously. Perhaps after the ocean they could stop by his homelands,... just breifly. He still wanted to travel with Nafsi, very much so. He didnt't voice those thoughts just yet, they would be vocalized in time.

"I see." Nafsi replied with a nod. "That's understandable, after all who knows how far your family's line has progressed and how many changes may have occurred." She told him with a shrug of her shoulders. "Would you be looking from your mother's side or your fathers?" It seemed odd for her to be asking so many questions, it wasn't often that she did this, but now she just had to.

"From here it is at least a three days travel, so yes it is." Nafsi responded rather quickly after he had been speaking. "Depending on how fast we travel and how often we stop it could be longer." She added flicking her tail as she shifted to a standing position and stretching her muscles before moving a tad bit closer to the male.

Despite herself she asked the question which she so hoped to avoid. "Would you care to visit your homelands afterwards?" She wasn't quite sure why she had offered but she knew it would make him happy and she did like his smile.

He noddede slowly in thought. "My father's side. I believe my mother is from somewhere in the jungles. That is where she was born anyhow... I will have to ask her about it sometime."

Three days... three days longer with Nafsi. And then time at a beautiful place with... His ears flicked and he glanced away, slightly bashful about his own thoughts. And at her next words he almost thought she'd be able to hear his thoughts of thinking how beautiful she was.

"It's like you can read my mind!" He said in surprise, wide eyes turning to her. Then his face fell. "I... I would like to if you do not mind... But only a visit!" He said, his voice suddenly growing pasionate. "I do want to see the world with you..." He said, his voice a little more quiet.

"I see. It's always good to know of your family's roots." She told him rather thoughtfully.

A light chuckle escaped her maw at his words, she couldn't read his mind, she could only guess and hopefully get it right, which she had lately. "If only that were the case." She replied more to herself than to him.

When his face fell she frowned and moved closer to nudge him lightly with her nose. "It's alright, I know, it's fine that you want to visit home." She told him softly. "You never did say good-by, your family is probably worried about you." She spoke but this was more for her than for him, it was her way of convincing herself that it was a good idea. "Don't worry, I won't let you leave me so soon anyway."

He felt a little nervous as she moved closer, but not displease with the action. His head tilted slightly and he chuckled, nudging her lightly. "Let me? You'll end up forcing me to leave in the end." He stuck his tongue out at her childishly, mostly kidding but more or less implying he did not want to leave her ever.

"Well. Maybe they'll be worried... my mother will throw a fit." He added sheepishly, ears flicking backwards.

Nafsi pretended to be hurt by his words. "Come now Rengo, you know that I did not force you to join me, you did of your own will." She reminded him before rolling her shoulders back in a shrug. "Although I do think that I might try to 'force' you to leave with me after you visit and aren't too keen on leaving afterward. I do like your company." In her own way that was how she was saying that she wanted him to stay with her.

She then nodded to his next words. "I'm sure that she'll just be showing her concern that way." She stated before moving along, conversation wise. "Will you be joining me this night, or will you be out like the previous nights?"

He just chuckled and shook his head. "No, I won't want to stay." He wouldn't want to cast off his homelands forever either though.

He grinned and shrugged slowly. "If you don't mind it I would like to spend the night with you. I've explored enough for the time being..."

She smiled at him rather brightly yet softly at the same time. "Good, because I don't think I'd let you, not yet at least." She spoke the truth, for her at least. She wanted to spend as much time traveling with him as possible but knew that he'd want to settle back down eventually and she'd have to except that.

"Of course." Nafsi replied to him with a nod. "We should probably sleep soon, it's growing rather dark."
