It's nothing personal...
Today was the day I got fitted for my full uniform I hate getting fitted Last year in 8th grade we had blazers I am hard to fit And in front of everyone, the uniform mom went "We need shorter arms and a bigger midsection"
But this fitting, for full uniform sucked I tried on at least 3 pairs of pants before finding one Two or 3 jackets choked me like a corset. With one we couldn't even get the zipper all the way down Large gloves Large hat (I found the name in the bottom, and last year it belonged to one of the best alto sax players my middle school director ever had) Size 11 shoes
DISCUSS: Uniform fittings Are you hard to fit? Do the zippers on your tops zip from top to bottom? Shocks on who fit in the stuff last year?
...It's just good business

Ohhh~I loooove getting fitted for our uniforms. > 3<
I'm not too hard to fit. I mean...I have meat/muscles/all that jazz, but they had it for me. 8] The shoes were hard though. Somehow once I got fitted for my shoes, they never came in, so I had to take somebody's new pairs of shoes. They fit me perfect. 8] Well one size bigger, but hey..it's marching. You gotta move.

I'm chubby, so the pants were hard Then again, so was the top The little clip for the neck choked me And the little zippers are stubborn

Haven't been fitted yet...
But I don't march! I just need arms to not be tight and I'll be fine.
Gotta love pit.

I hated getting fit for uniforms. I've had the same one for the past two years (we got new uniforms after my freshman year). So, it was easy last year. I'm sure I'll have the same one again this year, but our uniforms are just so damn uncomfortable.

I'm just hoping that with all the work we do, my uniform will be looser by the first game.
And I'm really looking forward to the raincoats I found one on the band stands when I was helping clean up before competition and I wore it all afternoon It was so warm But I saw one of the field commanders and dashed outta there

I dont remember having to get fitted. The first one they gave me fit...it got a little small, but I never felt like trading it in. Only had a year left.

One year I wore a men's uniform. It was the only one in my 3 years that actually fit right (which is sad, cuz I'm not a boy!). My saxophone had more curves than me. sweatdrop

This year I got a uniform that actually fits. Last year's uniform was huge; it was hanging in folds around me when I tried it on this year gonk My main problem is the pants. I need length, not width, since I'm so tall and skinny.
The neck seems a little tight though. That's okay. I can still play, so I can deal with it.

It wasn't that bad. our uniform room kid just pulled a uniform off the rack and told me to try it on. It fit pretty well. But i'm going to need a new one next year. i bent over to pick up my sousaphone and ripped the sideseam of my pants. sweatdrop

My fitting was great I have the same uniform I wore last year actually it was alittle big this year so It made me feel so grate about myself. Also You guys don't need to worry about your size or shape just be yourself. It doesn't matter if your 110 pounds or 200 pounds if you accept who you are then no one else matters.

We got fit today, and the first one I got fit fine. Sleeves had to be shortened, though... And this little-ish guy, Sean, almost had to steal my uniform. But then they found a smaller one and it fit him fine.

My mum and I are the uniform managers for my high school's band. We just had marching season uniform fittings on Saturday. This is my 2nd year of being in charge of fitting day.
Everything went pretty smoothly. We had some issues with a few freshmen wanting skin-tight bibs at first, but we nudged them away from those by making them sit down while wearing them (Can you say OUCH? blaugh ). Thankfully we had a method of having the different grade levels come in at different times. This year the seniors came in from 8 to 10, juniors and sophomores from 10 to 11, and freshman from 12 to 3-ish.
Suprises? I had to go up to the next uniform size, our boy drum major was so skinny we had to special order his pants (29-inch waist! Holy cow! eek ), the biggest shoe we had to order was for a freshman boy and it was a size 15, and the hemming table was crowded with students wanting to help hem uniforms.
Oh, if anyone has any uniform questions feel free to ask me! We've had to fit pretty much every type of band/color guard uniform you can imagine so I can probably answer anything you throw at me. 3nodding

This year, things were extremely easy for us.
We had fittings on Friday(because we have pictures today after Band Camp. ^^) and we got new uniforms. Last year, they were all fitted to us, so we all had a uniform for each person.
Now, next year, it'll get more hectic...

The Moms started fitting for uniforms tonight. Most of us veterans have stayed with the same uniform throughout our years in band. All we had to do was loosen the suspender straps a bit more as we got taller. It's always the Freshmen that take longest to fit, 'cause they don't have a uniform from the previous year to claim.
Anyway, apparently this one senior grew A LOT over the course of the past year. He could barely move his arms in the jacket, and the bottoms of his pants were 3 or 4 inches above his ankle. 'Twas funny.
I'm drum major this year. I don't even know what my uniform looks like. I'm excited, though.
