Rules
Yeah I know, boring rules, blech. But it has to be said.

1. Obey Gaia TOS. This will keep the Guild from being deactivated.
2. For god’s sake, no flame wars. If someone’s being a jerk, PM the crew.
3. Romance is allowed, we’ll even allow shounen/shoujo-ai if that floats your boat but if you decide to have your character and another do the bedroom tango, please for the love of god limit it to something to the effect of ‘Sam and Julie do it’. In short, no cybering.
4. Listen to the crew. Not listening makes us angry, and when we get angry, Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset. And when Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset… People DIE! Seriously though, listen to what we tell you, we’re here to help.
5. No ‘leet’, ‘chat’, or ‘net’ speak. I swear to god if I catch someone RPing like ‘OMFG LOL I STAB j00 WITH MAH KNIFE!!!111!’ I will murder them. Painfully. In addition, please type out complete sentences. Actions and Narrations should be written out. Spoken words should be in quotes. Thoughts should be italicized. I won’t jump your a** over a minor typo, but if your posts are not legible, they’ll be edited to what I think you’re trying to say, and if it’s screwed up somehow, it’s your fault for not obeying the rules.
6. NO SPAM. SPAM the food is disgusting, SPAM the internet-ruining BS is worse.
7. Punishments: Here’s how it works. Minor issues can be resolved quickly in the thread, but if you are a continual thorn in my (or anyone else’s) side, I or one of the crew will PM you and tell you to get your act together. If you fail to do so, you’ll get another PM telling you that you’ve lost some privileges within the guild, which the PMer will decide (Crew take note: if this happens you will be DEMOTED. If you have been put on crew, it means I trust you enough to put you in a position of power. It is in your best interests not to break this trust, because it will not be extended a second time). If in your infinite stupidity you somehow manage to piss me off three times in a row, you’re gone. Be warned, some of the crew may be more strict than others. I consider myself very lenient, but just watch yourself.
8. Do not Godmode. Do not Godmode. Do NOT. GODMODE.
9. Read the Announcements and Storyline Threads. It will help out a lot.
10. Really should have thought about this earlier, but don't create threads in the RP forums without permission.

Battle System

There are six stat areas:

STR (Strength) A measurement of your might. The higher it is, the better you are at smashing things.
PCP (Perception) A measurement of your sight. Ranged attacks will be more accurate and do more damage.
STA (Stamina) A measurement of your toughness. How much punishment you can take in a battle.
SPR (Spirit) A measurement of your soul. It measures how well you can use and defend against Techs and Ki.
INT (Intelligence) A measurement of your mind. Higher numbers mean you can form strategies on the battlefield easily, while lower numbers mean that other characters can easily deceive you.
AGL (Agility) A measurement of your speed on foot, and of your reflexes. High numbers mean people won’t easily keep up with you.

Ki The amount of spiritual energy you have, everyone starts with 8. The higher the number, the more room you have to use Ki Release or techs, which deplete the number. Things like eating, sleeping, and certain items can restore it.

Ki Release

These are in short spells. There are four Branches of Ki Release, and six Elements or Colors.

The Four Branches
There are four branches of Ki release. These are Offensive, Healing, Support, and Summoning. Summoning will be covered later.

Offensive- Techs that deal actual damage. Pretty basic.
Healing- Also basic. Techs that heal wounds, eliminate poisons, etc.
Support- A wee bit more complicated. These consist largely of ‘Buff’ and ‘DeBuff’ Techs, that is to say they either strengthen you, or weaken your opponent. Techs that involve things like poison or immobilizing a foe also go here.

Elements

Basically, there are seven. Fire, Water/Ice, Wind/Lightning, Earth/Plants, Light, and Darkness. The seventh is of course Neutral. Each Release or Tech has some kind of Element to it. Each element is opposed to one of the others.
Fire is opposed to Water.
Wind is opposed to Earth.
Light is opposed to Darkness.
Neutral is not opposed to anything.
These will be covered in depth farther down.

Tech Skills

These are unique techniques that are known only to your character. That is, only you can use them unless you teach them to another character. You can have up to six, one for each level. Tech Skills are fully customizable, you can have them rely on whatever attribute you want for strength. You start with one, and will be awarded new ones as a result of achievements within the guild or in RP settings.

Levels

There are six levels of Techs/Releases, from weakest to strongest: E, D, C, B, A, S. Your character will start off with only the ability to use level E Techs but as your SPR levels up you’ll gain access to new levels. Note that Releases are independent from Tech Skills.
You’ll be able to create your own Releases, but they will be available to everyone (unless you’re a crew member and the Release is something your character alone can use.)

Here's how the Level costs work. Releases spend Ki points.
Level E - weak - 1-3 KP
Level D - light - 3-10 KP
Level C - moderate - 10-20 KP
Level B - tough - 20-30 KP
Level A - strong - 30-50 KP
Level S - lethal - 50+ KP

Tech Skills all follow this system as well.

The Five Zones and Political Figures

Basically there are five countries your character can live in. These are:

Central Zone- Ephresia Desert
Main City: Ephresia
Other Cities: Scattered Nomad Villages
Current Leader: Rhames (Tasukaru no Kurokaze)
A massive Desert Region, it is home to numerous wandering tribes, as well as some highly dangerous monsters. However its technological base is second to none.

Northern Zone- Divided Nations of Asmund
Main City: Esben
Other Cities: The Forest City, Torgils, The Mountain City, Thorvald, The Neutral Port City, Skrojim
Current Leader: Captain Thomas N. Kethson (SabreSlashX)
The Divided Nations of Asmund, are as blatantly said, seperated into three main regions. Esben lies in a cold flatland, though it is the most economically thriving place in this area through manufacturing and trade. Thorvald, which lies nestled in the mountains, are at land and religious war against Esben and is home to more savage, but hearty beings. Torgils lies in the forest, home to many different beasties and people. This place is based off of Norse culture.

Western Zone-Territory of Sonryong
Main City:Zong Chu
Other Cities:residental area, ramen shop
Current Leader: (Bluen)

Eastern Zone- Land of a Thousand Rivers
Main City: Waterfall City Capital
Other Cities: Temple; The Arena; Markets; Main Office; Inferno Lake; Holy River; Grand River
Current Leader: Vect Drazhar (chibi09)

Southern Zone- Land of the Nile
Main City: Asu Simbel- The Imperial City
Other Cities: Cael Elna- Trade City, Heth Amun- Port City, Gamora- Military Base
Current Leader: (Haku_Needles)
The Land of the Nile is home to an Egyptian based culture that thrives under the rule of the Great God Anubis, all of his land united under him. The city of Heth Amun is against the coast, with thick walls protecting the Imperial City of Asu Simbel from naval attacks. The Trade City of Cael Elna is next to the port city where naturally all trade is conducted after being brought in from distant lands. Asu Simbel lies between this city and the Military Base of Gamora, all three encompassing the Imperial City where everything from temples to public baths exist.

(Guys you need to put in the information for your zones. Just go in and edit this as you will.)

A Brief Explanation of Innates

A lot of the combat around here is going to involve your character’s Innate Element. Every character has one of the six elements as an innate (Neutral does not count).
When casting a Ki Release, three factors come into play: Your Innate, the Target’s Innate, and the Release Element.
If the Release Element is the same as your innate, add 25 percent to your SPR value for the duration of that Release.
If the Release Element is OPPOSED to your innate, subtract 25 percent.
If the Release Element is the same as your opponent’s Innate, subtract 50 percent.
If the Release Element is OPPOSED to your opponent’s Innate, add 50 percent.
Naturally, if the Element is neither the same nor opposed to either character, treat damage normally.

Character Creation

Finally, now that you’ve read all the stuff you need to know, we can get on with the fun part: creating your character!
Note: Only one character per account, unless you are a crew, who are permitted to create another character to do the roaming and adventuring with everyone else, and can make ‘guard/soldier’ characters if they so desire.
To begin, start off with this basic guide:

Username: Duh.
Character Name: Again, duh.
Age: Duh, thrice. Please for goodness’ sake, no five-year-olds. Characters can be immortal, but can NOT be indestructible. (meaning by all means if your character is incapable of dropping dead from old age that’s okay. What’s not okay is the ability to regenerate.)
Home: Pick one of the five regions.
Appearance: Describe your character or provide a picture. Please detail build, eye/hair color, and clothing at the minimum. Yes, you can use tektek.
Innate: Choose Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, or Shadow. Ad for the love of god everyone, don’t just swarm Shadow because it’s dark and brooding and cool.
Personality: What’s your character like? Try not to make a Mary-Sue. Mary-Sues won’t last long here at all.
History: A brief biography of your character. I don’t want a novel, but be creative. We can’t ALL be orphans with tragic pasts and a constant flow of angst.
Weapons: Oooh, the fun part. Yes, this is a fantasy RP, but be realistic. No indestructible swords of doom (again, crew being the exception to this rule, their ‘leader’ characters can have magical/uber weapons because they’re supposed to be powerful.), and once again be creative.
Other: Anything else you want to add. Pets, Family, any NPC’s that may tag along (yes you can have NPC’s but take note: NPC’s can NOT. TAKE PART. IN COMBAT.)
Stats: Upon creating a character, you will gain 100 Skill Points or SP. These can be distributed as you like to all of your character’s stats except for Ki. SP can be earned in a few ways, they can be won in Guild contests, earned in missions or tournaments, and can also be purchased at 500 Gold for 1 SP. This gold goes directly to Guild funds, so don’t worry about it being squandered.
Note: The absolute maximum you can start with on any one stat is 25, and the minimum is 5. This will prevent anyone from putting all their points into SPR and blowing up the battlefield with suped-up spells from afar.
KI: 10 (everyone starts out with this amount.)
STR:
PCP:
STA:
SPR:
INT:
AGL:
Tech Skills: Post your Tech Skills here. Full descriptions, levels, and whatnot are required.
Ki Releases: Post the Releases your character knows here.

Username:

Oh, and PM the profile to the respective head of your region when you're done, and we'll get it approved as soon as possible.

NOTES ON SKILL POINTS (SP)

Any time your character goes through intensive training or a battle of some kind, they might gain some SP!

Just note that you have to put some effort into it. A minor skirmish that lasts all of three posts won't get you anything, but a heavy sparring match will get you quite a bit.

PM the leader of your region if you want some SP.
