"Hehhhh.." -A mild snort of pleasure escaped the cub as she bounded out into the light, tromping her way in a large circle before coming to a halt, eyes fixiated on the horizon. No suspicous looking characters in sight. Things smelt familar. Everything looked in order, and that made Jahina smile as she awaited the rest of her group.
She knew papa was coming, whether or not he'd wrangled anyone else to come play she wasn't sure. But she had a bundle of energy built up and was ripping and rearing to go, so even if EVERYONE came she'd be up for it. Swatting mildly at some noisy insect that buzzed around her head she continued her self-induced sentry duty, paws itching to get moving again.-

Sauda was a quiet, reserved girl. But she enjoyed the company of her family and thought nothing was more important. So even if she wasn't quite as energetic as her sister, she was more then happy to come along. She loped along at an easy pace on her small legs, keeping her eyes on their surroundings. After the incident with the warthog she had been extremely careful when they went out. Especially when the adults weren't around. Luckily she knew Daddy wasn't too far away and that made her a little more relaxed.
Seeing her sister not far away she drifted over to stand beside her, giving her a curious sidelong glance.

Large paws spread amid the savanna grass, a rolling stretch reaching from forepaws to tufted tail as he emerged from the shady den into the sunlight. A gentle sigh escaped the large chest as warmth rustled through his fur, and and pale eyes fell on his two young children, a kind smile spread across his maw, heart filling with pride as he looked on the tan hides that so resembled his own. It was a beautiful day, and his young children still craved his attention. Juhudi was not a new father, his and his mate having two older children from their first litter, but he had perhaps forgotten the joy that cubs so young brought to his life. He loved his older children no less or more than the younger, each cub holding a cherished place in a heart that seemed endless, but as they had grown older they had grown more distant, entering the world to find their own path, no longer did they wish to play or spend every moment with him as they had in their youth. Alas they had grown too fast, as the young cubs would someday all too soon as well, short time he would be sure to cherish every moment of. He had attempted to drag the rest of his family into the warm, inviting day, but being unsuccessful in rousing either his remaining children or his mate, the tawny male had decided it best to dedicate the day instead to his two youngest. Long strides closing the distance between them quickly, Juhudi lowered his head to gently nudge one daughter and then the other with a soft muzzle, a gesture of fatherly affection. "Well then, where would you two like to go today?"

-Catching her sister out of the corner of her eye, Jahina acknowledged the presence with a nod, returning Sauda's strange look with a look of "all-knowing".- "I'm making sure the area is safe! It is, nothing strange going on."
-She explained pleasantly, grinning to her sister. They might not have a whole ton in common attitude wise, but she felt no folly against Sauda. Sure her reserved girliness could get in the way from time to time. But she was family after all, and a girl at that. Her tail swayed with contentment in fact at the good job she was doing keeping her 'little sister' safe.
As father's heavy steps approached and she felt the pressure of his greeting against her, she grinned widely, letting the affection linger far longer then she might have tolerated from someone else. And already she was bustling with ideas and things to do now that they'd stolen father's attention away for the day.
Adventure and risk on her mind the young cub's tail began to lash in soft excitement as she piped.- "Can we go see a zebra herd!? You can roar and they run around, that'd be pretty exciting." -Her voice played on the words softly, as if trying to convince him that it was indeed a fine idea.-

"Right," Sauda murmured, letting her sister have her way, so to speak. Besides, Jahina always seemed happy to be "protecting" them and bringing out all the ideas. Which was fine with Sauda, since she didn't much care for being the center of attention anyway. When her father nudged her she leaned into the touch, giving a gentle pur before leaning back to listen to her sister's idea.
"I don't them zebra trampling us is very exciting..." he murmured softly. And knowing that her sister would never admit to having the posibility of being trambled she ammended, "I mean...for me. I can't out run a zebra." And she was sure Jahina couldn't either. But she'd rather not miff her sister, she did love her after all.

Pale eyes widened, blinking in surprise at his daughter's suggestion. Had she said what he thought she'd said? Chasing zebras seemed more like something Shin would have suggested, only he wouldn't have asked first. Wait a minute, just what were his children up to when he wasn't watching? Shaking his head to clear any thoughts that might terrify the father for the lives of his small children, Juhudi turned his head to smile warmly at his daughter. Chasing Zebras didn't seem like a good idea, especially to a protective father, but he couldn't tell her that least he damage that bright adventurous spirit of hers. Thus the art of parental double talk began. "Of course we can see the zebras if you want, but we can't scare them or they could trample the hunters." Well that was a lame excuse and his children were smarter than that. Wait, a distraction, that was it! Barely giving his words time to set it, and hopefully not remembered, the large lion seized a cub in each paw in a mock tackle, his mane of fluff tickling their young hides into submission, or at least until the game switched sides. "Ha! Got ya!"

-A soft line drew across her maw in obvious disapointment at her sister's dissaproval, but before much could be said about it her father's voice had lifted. And at his disaproval too, as good as the logic behind it was, Jahina's ears drooped, mouth opening wide to protest.
But already daddy had made his move, and like many a young ones, her attention was quickly swayed to the assault at hand, mouth instead forming the sounds of a delighted giggling squeal. Wriggling against the mass with playful pushes less then powerful kicks.-
"That TICKLESSSSS!" -Her little tan body writhed within the fluff of his mane pretending to be much more feverent to get out of his grasp then she actually was.-

Sauda squeaked in protest, trying ferverntly to wiggle from her father's grasp. "Stop, stop!" she cried through giggles and gasps of dismay. Her attempts to get away were quite real, however, little claws and all. It was a reflex, of course, because she would never "fight" her father on purpose. But she couldn't stand being tickled and she'd do anything to get away from the sensation.

With a bright chuckle, Juhudi nuzzled each cub in turn before setting them both back on their own paws. It was with his family that the lion was most happy, and with his children that his own cubbish heart beat strong. "Well, are you coming or not?" A warm smile on his maw, Juhudi bounded past his cubs, pausing to look back at them over his shoulder, a flick of his tail enticing them to follow. Chasing Zebras was out, but perhaps a game of chasing him would satisfy his young cubs instead.

-Giggle lingering on the cub even after father had stopped and settled the two back on their feet, Jahina crouched immediately as her father made to get away. Eyes settling on the thick tail, she sprang up with a young growl that sounded more like a funny 'rawrrr', taking chase.
Of course he'd go easy on them, go slow despite his far longer strides. But Jahina didn't seem to recognize this, pushing her little body as if he were some intruder that she had to run off like Mama did. Calling out with glee she mused.- "I'm gonna catch you this time daddy!"
-And after a quick glance back to her sister's figure, a shout scrambled between encouragment and dissapointment.- "Come on Sauda!" -It wasn't her fault she was slower, Jahina had alot of practice on her. But despite that she couldn't help but wish her sister would be a better little 'hunteress' so they could catch father more easily.-

(( Because it would make me sad if we didn't continue this. xD )) Bright laughter echoing in his very steps, the father bounded with short playful strides, careful to not outrun his small daughter. "Oh, you think so?" His maw was split in a broad grin, hoping to one side then the other lest she catch him to quickly and she realize that the game was played in her favor. It was a short, yet exhilarating chase, ending with daughter catching father; the large lion rolling onto his back in a feigned tackle, one large paw batting playfully at the cub with a new eruption of laughter.

-It was good practice, the back and forth hops, deciding when to sway and when to keep going straight. One day it'd be invaluable hunting training, but for now Jahina was more then contented on it just being play.
She bristled with pride when finally she caught him, trying to dodge the big daddy paws as she tackled in what seemed more like a hug then a feriocious 'take down'.
Her giggle finally died down when her tiny maw began to n** lightly at her father's mane and pelt, nothing more then a few ticklish nips, but her contentment was just as apparent.- "I'm gonna tell Mama I caught you!" -She mused happily, still perched.- "Then maybe I can help her scout too!"
-She didn't prefer one parent to the other. Mama was a wonderful strong female, brave, strong, awesome. Everything she wanted to be. And daddy was.. ohh.. probably the only male she'd ever act quite so girly and young about. But what else could be expected for one so kind and playful and all around cuddley. Her tail twitched with contentment, and her eyes glanced softly in search of her sister once again.-

Sauda had barely kept up during the chase. She was not as fast as her sister, nor quite so energetic. She kept trying though, which was saying something for a girl who would rather be resting somewhere cozey. When her father crashed to the ground at her sister's "attacK" she quickly joined the fray, but in a far different fashion. "Daaaaddy~" She jumped up to her father and snuggled into his fluffy mane, almost hiding herself in it. It made her smile, for she always loved the feeling of her father's fur.

"And you'll be the best scout of the pridelands." His eyes shone brightly, smiling at his daughter as he ruffled her fur playfully with one large paw. He always believed his children were capable of whatever challenges they chose, and he always made certain to encourage them on their chosen path. That did not however mean that as a father he did not worry about them, or that he wasn't as fiercely protective of them as he was of his older children. For they would always be his children, and he would always be their father. His younger daughter was far from forgotten, and he could not have been happier that the shy little girl had joined in the game as well. A gentle purr in his throat, he turned his head to gently nuzzle the small cub buried in his mane. She reminded him of Kani in so many ways, and as he had and still did with Kani, it was the quiet soul he feared most for in the future.

-Jahina puffed with pride at the assertion. Of course she knew she would! But with daddy saying it too that just made it a 100% certainty. Gently her face scrunched and she tried to wriggle away from the pelt ruffling, settling back a few tiny steps with a giggle.
As Sauda snuggled on in and her fathers attention turned for the moment to her darker hued sister, Jahina amused herself by capturing Sauda's black and white tufted tail between her paws, chewing harmless at the hair at the end.- "Hehe!"
