The sun was dropping lower in the sky; the peek of the day having occurred a few hours previous. Although the day was still warm and pleasant, a light breeze continuously moving over the land. Swirls of gold dust floated through the air, accented with petals that had been pried off of flowers with quick gusts of wind. A black and white mare laid sleeping under an apple tree; pollen collecting upon her dark fur and giving it a golden powered shine. The mare stirred slightly and opened her red eyes; lifting her head up and yawning. She raised her head and gave a merry giggle; rising to her feet she took a few paces from under the tree and looked up at it. Soon there would be apples to eat from its branches as the season grew later. The mare turned away and made a light trot in between the orchard; dodging in between the trees.

The windy days were Kal's favorite. It wasn't the prospect of flying on such a day that made the little stallion love them so much, he was not a strong flier even in the calmest of weater. It was simply the feel of the breeze blowing through his feathers, ruffling his fur and brushing through his short mane. Even the scenery was more exciting. The airborne leaves danced while the grasses swayed, the clouds ran across the sky, and the golden pollen made everything glitter.
And it made Kal sneeze horribly. As much as he liked the wind, today he could hardly manage a few steps before having to sneeze again. He did manage to gain some respite from the sneezing when he faced away from the wind, and thus he now walked backwards in a very odd manner to prevent another fit. It was a good thing he looked so much like a foal, that kind of strange behavior was often excusable for youth.

As Eury trotted she lifted her knees up high; that way when her hooves came down the feathering around her ankles spread out and created an elegant effect. The mare held up head up high and there was a bright smile upon her face; the sun was at just the right ankle so that her coat sparkled in waves as she moved due to the sun's rays and the golden dust upon her fur. She pranced just outside the boundary of the orchard and gazed over the meadow with her red eyes. She noticed another soquili whom was somewhat close to her and she tilted her head slightly. The mare gave a toss of her mane then began walking towards the stallion; his back was turned toward her. Only... Something was confusing the mare. He seemed to be moving towards her... She blinked once and then moved just a bit closer. He was definitely moving backwards. Eury released a light giggle and swished her tail. "What're you doing?" She called the stallion; giggling again.

Kal's startled jump sent pollen flying from his fur, and he whirled around to face her. "Wh-what do you mean?" He asked, before he was attacked by another bout of sneezing and had to turn around again. "I'm just walking," he said once he had recovered, backing up a bit further so he could look at the mare without turning his head into the wind.
The first thing he noticed once he could get a decent look at her was that she had wings too. No horn like his though.
