Description: Crisiant is statuesque at about five-foot-ten, with pale skin and long dark hair, usually worn piled atop her head and secured with ribbons. She has strange eyes, mostly green but flecked with gold, blue, and purple, almost peacock-like. Her voice is a slow, dark alto, lending her a mysterious quality.
Magic Use: Crisiant is a musician and a storyteller, traveling the streets of Dorhaven on certain days to perform on street corners, in parks, anywhere she can draw a crowd. The stories she tells are alternately prose, poetry, and song, sometimes a combination of two or all three. She is accompanied by an instrument that is a hodgepodge of flutelike pipes and chimes, all controlled by breezes she summons with air magic. Light magic allows her to call up images to illustrate her stories, and air magic to produce atmospheric effects.
Clothing: Crisiant wears a variety of silk robes inspired by the many cultures she has encountered in her travels to other countries, and during performances she wears an elegant feathered mask in the form of a mockingbird.
History: As soon as they thought she was old enough to take care of herself, Crisiant's parents shuffled her off to Dorhaven to study magic, hoping that this might be another way to draw in some money – having some misconceptions about how well wizards were generally paid. Obviously, they were disappointed by how it turned out, but they were fairly well off to begin with and do not begrudge Crisiant enough money to live comfortably. Once in Dorhaven, Crisiant herself became fascinated with magic and the possibilities therein and had no difficulty in seeing her studies through. Crisiant's wizarding studies began when she was thirteen years old and continued for six years. She gained full entry into the Order of Wizards and her first dragon egg at the age of nineteen. Soon after she began traveling to various countries, discovered a love of storytelling in the Middle East, and returned to Dorhaven to practice the craft.
Personality: Gentle and caring, but almost painfully shy in the company of other humans, hence wearing a mask while performing and living in relative seclusion otherwise. She's most comfortable in the presence of only her dragons. During her travels, she did her best to blend in with the locals, intending only to observe and not wanting to draw attention to herself.
Strengths: Magic-wise, light and air magic – she's able to produce illusions and some small weather effects. She has a good singing voice and musical ear, and a talent for storytelling, though the stories themselves are generally drawn from the mythology and folklore of various places.
Weaknesses: Magic-wise, darkness and earth magic. Her almost painful shyness causes her to have little in the way of normal human contact outside of those few she is already familiar with and close to, and those who make the effort to move slowly in getting to know her. Hence, she is not usually particularly well-informed about what's going on in the world. Even with those she knows, Crisiant will rarely initiate contact or conversation and is deferential to a fault, easily walked all over.
