Gosh I love these books I've read them all and I'm currently re reading many of them. All the characters are just so fun it's hard to pick a favorite. I'd have to lean towards Vimes or Death but really I love them all. The Hogfather is my favorite book so I was really excited they made a TV movie of it whee Sincerely Miss Nat

They are all silly fantasy books. They take place on the disc world and parody everything from the fantasy genre itself to pop culture. You can start anywhere in the series really. The books tend to intertwine, many characters showing up again and again. The plots are often quite funny, for example in the hogfather Death (grim reaper) takes on the role of the Hogfather (basicly santa) because the hogfather is to weak due to an attempt on his life.

This probably comes off as terribly ignorant, but I didn't know this was a book series, seriously. I just thought it was a game...which I played and enjoyed thoroughly. I suppose I have no choice but to read the books now =D

I've read the Tiffany Aching books, which he claims are set in Discworld. I've never read any of the adult Discworld books, But I plan to rememdy that now that I know where they are in the library.
