Okay, so maybe Mailye was never a beach bunny (but she lived on an island, so there!) and maybe DS isn't the best at naming things. This is still the PokéLog in which she will record the adventures of Mai, Aylin, and any other pokemorphs she happens to be lucky enough to obtain.

This may or may not be filled with something coherent. In the interim... enjoy? ^^;

Personality: Mailye appears to be cold and distant, preferring to work by herself and fail than to team up with others and succeed. She keeps to herself, and while she is not bothered by dealing with the people she needs to deal with (servicepeople, gym leaders, and the occasional other trainer), she keeps her interactions with them to a minimum whenever possible. Self-suffiecient and fiercely independent, she hates when others try to impose their business or rules on her. She recognizes her skills and the areas she could stand to improve, but will rarely ask for help, even if the person is willing, and even if it would make all the difference. When approached by strangers she is courteous, if chilly in manner, and will not brush the person off. However, she won't engage them either, having learned that most will tire of this and leave of their own accords. In the event that someone does actually bother her, she can be scathing, and is generally unapologetic. She does what she does, and doesn't answer to anyone.

However, most of this behavior is a facade, masking her true self. While Mailye APPEARS to be aloof and indifferent, she is in fact terrified of dealing with others. When she is around people, her anxiety levels rise to almost paralyzing levels. Even she isn't sure why this is; if it stems from a need to be liked or a fear of abandonment or even a subconscious dislike of strangers. All she does know is that unless she throws up a shield, she becomes practically helpless and entirely useless. Her method of distancing herself from others is a safety mechanism worked on over the years, and she's come to be very good at it... but lately, she has felt the mask start to chip in places, awakening a whole new kind of fear to deal with.

Biography:

Attire: An island girl at heart, Mailye likes to wear clothing that is lightweight and cooling. Often this takes the form of wearing a swimsuit along with shorts and sandals, or waterproof clothing, or light sundresses depending on how Mailye is feeling. Whatever she wears, it tends to cover little of her tanned skin. Her most common outfit consists of a blue and white swim top, with bottoms concealed under dark, multi-pocketed shorts, and high-top sneakers. Her sunstreaked auburn hair is cropped short, and often covered with a thin blue scarf. No matter what the outfit, she is always wearing a wristband on her right arm, which is white with black stars and trim.

Strengths: Running, swimming, general feats of athleticism. Self-sufficient. Used to the outdoors. Minor sewing skills.

Weaknesses: ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS. Freezes when confronted by somebody she can't handle. Terrible cook. Bad memory for names and faces.

Likes: The beach, pokémon, sunsets, roughing it, the few people she feels she can trust.

Dislikes: Most people, cold nights, cities, public transportation, cleaning.

Favorite food: Fresh fruit (especially mangoes and oranges)

Least favorite food: Processed cheese
