What place in your city are haunted in Lafayette we have two places.
T'Frere's House - There is a young woman said to haunt this Bed and Breakfast. It is one of the oldest homes in Lafayette and it's said she once lived there a hundred or so years ago. The story goes she drowned in the big barrell used to catch the rainwater that is still in place today. The story varies as to whether it was an accident or suicide. She is a friendly ghost who makes objects move, walks around upstairs at night, and moves furniture around. People say she has a comforting presence.
University of Louisiana at Lafayette -One of the girls' dormitories - is haunted by a girl who was killed when an elevator that wasn't supposed to be working fell on her and decapitated her. The elevator has been sealed and closed off, but you can still feel an immense energy or presence when you pass by it. The girl is a "friendly" ghost, helping the girls when they lose things by placing them where they can find them easily.
if you don't know you can type in State Hauntings on google and find your state and then your city, but most everyone know that is haunted around your city.

Sadly, my little nowhere suburb is quite boring in terms of paranormal activity. The most I've heard of is this little house near the train station that one of my friends suggested that we have our "last adventure" at, but we never got around to it.
Other than that, I think the most haunted place in town is probably my basement. Only one of my friends and I have ever really experienced anything there, though. sweatdrop

My home town was founded in the mid1800's and we were a farming/mining community. There are a lot of little towns boardering each other due to the many mines. we have a few stories but some of them are just folklore. But the three that I'm going to share are pretty much the main stories. The EMT station in my innital town is haunted by a guy named George. They actually got a pic of spirit vapor one year where you can see the face. My ex-boyfriend and his best friend were attepting to write a book of the local lore and decided to investigate the station. They took a few pics of the spot where the workers caught the mist and a few came out normal but one was the exact same thing that the workers got of George years ago. The only difference was that it was closer to the lense. Five miles from there in a neighboring town there is this goregeous old building that has had renters come and swiftly move out several times in a row before it sat abandoned. Apparently back in the 1800's a family had a daughter named Bromhilda who was not all there in the head. It was inhumane to send her off to an assylum so they kept her in the basement where she died. People say now that sometimes you can see her from one of the windows at night looking out on the street. And if you're brave enough to go inside you'll find that the doors you closed and locked will fly open. My last story takes you to more of an old farming community. There is this road that the cross country team runs down that is said to be haunted by two nurses from the 60's. Their car stalled one night and they had to wait on this secluded back road until help arrived. Well, help didn't come but a murderer did. He killed the nurses and disposed of their bodies somewhere in the lush woods that line either side of the road. Their bodies were never found and he was never caught. People say that if you drive down that road alone at night, you'll see the two nurses trying to wave you down. We drove by slowly one night for a makeshift investigation (for the ex's book) and they stopped the van, opened the door to take pics and I felt as if I was being strangled. (that part of the story I have a hard time telling, I was so freaked) Appropriatly enough the road is named Slaughter Hollow.

For some reason we have lots of haunted places in our small, nothing-to-do city. A lot of houses that people live in are haunted, including my own and one of my best friend's. Whenever I've slept over at her house we've always heard footsteps running up and down the stairs, or a face of a child will look down on us from the top of the curtains. We have a lot of houses by the beach that are extremely haunted that are off limits to the public. Back in the 1800's people built their houses on the beach here, and a huge storm came and killed about half of the people that lived there. There are also a lot of mines and old creeks. There are also a lot of places in that region where families/people were brutally murdered in their homes. They all haunt the houses they lived in, I've visited the places. Most of the graveyards are haunted, but the most popular one is called the "******'s graveyard" (my apologies for the language, I've only ever heard it by that name, so I don't know the original name). It's named for the fact that only black people are buried in that graveyard. KKK meetings are held there often, and there was even a Death Cult that met there for a while. The most prominent haunting is that of a young woman haunting people in the form of an old hag, or appearing hung at the most noticeable tree in the graveyard. The story is that a young, white woman fell in love with a black man; her father was the head or high priest or something in the KKK, and found out about it. He had the man tortured and killed, and his daughter raped, beaten, and hung, but not before they carved "whore" and "slut" into her. They left her there, and ever since then she's appeared to various people. There are very few people that go there during the dark anymore.

Fontana has a few
Fontana - A.B. Miller High School Theater - Strange blue lights and many other occurrences. Sometimes there is banging from within the walls and tools ending up in weird places and no one knows how they got there. Many people say they have seen figures disappear and re-appear and voices in the catwalk when no one is up there. Legend says that a teenage actress went up into the catwalk trying to fix a light (for a tech buddy) and fell off the ladder and died instantly.
Fontana - BIG LOT'S - formerly Pic "N" Save stores - This is the BIG LOT'S store located off Sierra and Foothill Blvd. this store is haunted by several ghost or spirits. Many employees claim to have experienced hearing noises in the men's and women's restrooms things like something falling on the floor while being inside the one toilet stall and no one else inside the restroom and also the lights being flicked off by them selves inside the restroom while in use. There have also been noises and voices heard coming from the break room when the lights are off and no one is in there. Another area which is considered to be the area with the most activity is the stock room or warehouse in there several voices have been heard and noises of things falling inside and things like a former employee who was taking the trash to the back claims she walked into the warehouse and the light was turned off and as she was walking back out she felt something or someone pull her hair out of the bun when she walked out of there her hair was all messed up and her face was pale that was her last night working there. Several employees claim to be scared or nervous of walking into the warehouse at night. All these things happen at night when the store is closed and employees are cleaning up or late at night when graveyard employees are there. Non of the managers will support these accusations.
Fontana - Etiwanda Intermediate School - In the old auditorium, next to what is now a cafeteria, there is a narrow staircase leading up to an upstairs dressing room. The room contains one window and you will sometimes catch a glimpse of a young Indian girl standing at that window. The story states that this young girl of the 70's committed suicide by hanging herself and was found when someone of the staff spotted a body hanging through the window.
Fontana - Foothill Boulevard - Formerly part of Route 66 - Between the cross streets Cherry and Citrus, a young man will appear wearing a striped shirt and carrying a long stick. He then crosses the street right as cars approach. When the car hits its breaks, the man disappears. Witnesses also claim to see the ghost walking along the right side of the road. He has a black dog at his side.
Fontana - Mango Elementary School - They say in back of the school there was a little girl who would go on a tree(it supposedly had a tree house before) and would go on top of the tree when her parents would fight. That tree they said she would call her best friend until one day it was a windy day and she fell to her death. They say at night you can hear her crying for help and sometimes you can see her fall of the tree. She wears a little white dress and straight hair.
Fontana - maple elementary - maple elementary is haunted by this man who stays at the school in the boys bathroom and messes with the students and teachers during class time.
Fontana - Mary B. Lewis Elementary - the hauntings take place between 11pm and 4am. You can hear footsteps when there is nobody there and in the bathrooms for both boys and girls you can hear the distinct sound of a toilets overflowing and even a conversation going on when both the bathrooms are locked. There are loud bangs in the night and the whispering and the strange feeling of another presence is felt.
Fontana - Tokay Elementary - Sounds of construction work at the school. Rumor is that a construction worker died when it was built.
Fontana - Sequoia Middle School - In the quad by the lunch tables there sits a little girl crying bouncing a ball. She'll ask you to play with her and if you say no she will cry blood and start to follow you. This happens at sun set when there are no employees.

I found this one out this weekend and somehow I'm not surprised. I found out that the second pastor of my home parish haunts it. He wanders around taking care of minor things in the church. I haven't heard him but several different people have heard him. He tends to come around when no one else is in the church except that one person.

i live in Va so we have alot of places with hauntings from witches, to civil war victems, to slaves. the place i want to visit is called gravity road and if you put your car into neutral you go up hill and stop where the gates to a witch's house were. no one sticks around to see what else happens. there is even one place where if you turn off your car under a certain bridge a slave woman will try to get in and you have hand prints all over your car. im going to try that one out real soon, but im gonna bring alot of sea salt. even my highschool was haunted, we had a theatre ghost named rebecca. i forgot how she died but any place her picture was put odd things happened, so we put her in the props room. you could hear her running around on the catwalks but then if you went up to check there would just be a chair and no person (only one way on or off the catwalks)

I live right by the Irish Church in Chicago =3 Well, a bus ride away! XD I think that's what it's called. Anyways, i've never been in it, but we used to pass it everyday to pick my dad up at the train station. I'd really love to go in there, but it's a church now and I'd feel kinda weird barging in and asking for a tour XDDD But that's just me. =3
And of course there's Bachelor's Grove, Ressurection Cemetary, and probably another place that I've missed! XD

Let's see. One of Baylor's old libraries is haunted. One of the high schools is haunted. And supposedly the 2 abandoned dorms on the TSTC campus are haunted. Have not confirmed any of these.

I think my whole town is haunted because I've seen spirits all over the place and we were a town that during the civil war the union took over and so I'm sure there are soldiers here from that era and I've seen at least one (a union guy).

There's this one place in my town that is rumored to be haunted. It's the old elementary school. When I was kid they held club meetings and activities (such as Safety Town) there, but you weren't allowed to go upstairs. Now the building is shut down because it's "unsafe" and "about to collapse on itself". Me and my friends walk around the school a lot because we go bikeriding down there and there's a playground and stuff. There's this one light on the very top floor that is always turned on and many of the windows are unlocked. The school is extremely cold on the inside (we opened a window and were hit with a wave of cold air) which me and my friends decided was due to air conditioning - even though the school district doesn't air condition the buildings that are actually used. If you look through the windows there are scratch marks on all the walls, old newspapers lying everywhere, huge metal counters knocked over, abandoned mop buckets, rotting food, mountains of broken computer keyboards, and all sorts of other creepy stuff. We think this building is haunted because when you walk around it you can feel a presence, and Jeffrey Dahmer (a cannibalistic serial killer) went there when he was a kid.
