Welcome to the Debate Forum!
Now seeing as how this subforum is not the best idea for some people, we have come up with some ways to make sure that people who do come in and can't control themselves, aren't allowed to come back in (at the risk of gaining points added to their record). Now, the list of all rules that this forum will be subject to, are found below.
1. No poll = 1 point (First time is a free warning)
2. Extremely rude/crude post = 2 points
3. Flaming/being extremely rude to another member = 3 points
4. Flaming/being extremely rude to a mod = 5 points
5. Flaming/being extremely rude to a Captain/Vice Captain (or just the guild in general) = 10 points AKA Instant banning
6. No begging = 2 points
7. Don't necro old threads = 1 point
8. No continually bumping in the same thread = 1 or 2 points
9. Follow the ToS! Remember this is a PG-13 site!
10. Disobeying the request to stay out of this subforum = 2 points(And rules that are in lightgray are exempt from this subforum.)~ I Love Kyle. ~ (Level 2 Post Ban)

Now seeing as this is a forum made for discussion and sharing each other's opinions, we can't just have people running around post links and telling everyone else to discuss it. This is why we're going to adopt some rules from the General Discussion and Extended Discussion forums.From the GD Respect for others - In GD, as on the rest of GAIA Online, we like to foster an atmosphere of civility, tolerance, and community spirit. Even if you disagree with someone's point of view, please remember there's still a real person behind that avatar, and conduct yourself with an appropriate level of politeness and respect. - Venting about That Person Who Like Totally Pissed Me Off Today and how they're like mondo annoying, or telling a rambly little story about A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forums just doesn't cut it, I'm afraid - they'd be better suited to your GAIA Journal. Not GD. No, not even if you add a "Discuss: [blah blah blah]?" tag to the end of your post. - Copy-pasting an article from elsewhere or even just a link, despite being followed by discussion tags, does not a valid GD thread make. Please include your own input or point of view to get the discussion going. Misleading titles - Titles what don't match the discussion are tricksy and false, precious, and gets put in the Chatterbox. From the ED When quoting a current news story, do not simply quote or link to the news article and then ask for a response. Instead, include some of your own commentry and thoughts to help spark a discussion. If you wish to reference something, or use something as part of your thread, this is fine. However, you must properly cite references, or else your thread will be deleted for plagiarism. You also must add your own content to the thread, such as why you are posting it, what you think about it, and specific items from it that you would like to be discussed.
All threads where the topic creator is not posting their own opinion about what they'd like to see discussed, will be locked on sight.~ I Love Kyle. ~
