We'd like to wish all of you a very blessed Lammas / Imbolc.
This will be our guestbook / story thread. Sorry we didn't have anything big planned... to be honest, I didn't even realize that Lammas was today (time sneaks up on you so fast sometimes!) and everyone has just been so busy lately.
So, if you could all just sign this guestbook and maybe share a story / ritual for Lammas / Imbolc, that' d be really great!
Here's the little twist... I'll be giving out random prizes to people who sign this guestbook.
Here's a list of some of the prizes (there will be more, but they're surprises, so I can't tell you!): First person to sign (mods excluded): 1,000g Fifth person to sign (mods included): 500g Tenth person to sign (mods included): 100g
Please keep in mind that there will be other prizes given out, but you must sign this guestbook! (P.S. you're more likely to get a big prize if you tell some kind of story, give a ritual, a spell, activity, poem, photograph, or just anything related to Lammas / Imbolc).
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

*signs* I'm planning on baking a few loaves of banana bread this afternoon. I've decided to try something a bit different this time. Adding flax seeds, rolled oats, and a few other nuts to it. It should be really good. The recipe was one that my mother handed down to me when I moved out. I remember waking up on saturday mornings as a child, to the smell of this bread baking in the oven. So I usually bake 2 loaves. One for me and my fiance, and one for his family. I would make a third to send to my mother but she lives too far away.

Signy SignYesterday I made some lovely Rosemary Herb Bread for tonight's post-ritual snack. biggrin - 1 tbs salt - 1 egg, slightly beaten - 1 tbs butter - 1 tbs rosemary/thyme leaves [ add more if desired ] - 7 cups flour - 2 packs active dry yeast - 2.5 cups water
Let the water and butter warm on the stove for a bit. { The butter doesn't have to be melted, but mushy/warm } Mix the salt, rosemary, and 2.5 cups of flour in a bowl. Add the water. Stir well. Add 1 cup of flour. Stir till smooth & thick. Add 3.5 cups of flour to make a sticky dough. Stir, Stir, Stir! Let rise for 1.5 hours. Knead the dough after it's risen & separate it into 6 equal sections. Roll the sections into about 17 inch pieces. Braid 3 of the sections into one loaf, the other 3 into another. Let rise for 30 minutes. { In the meantime, paint the egg onto the tops of the loaves and sprinkle the excess thyme and rosemary. This adds some more flavor } Pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes, or until it sounds hollow when tapped.
The end result should look somewhat like this:
It's delicious!

*signs* hey there everybody! ^_^
I don't really have any spells to offer....but I've seen that what helps me when I really just need an extra boost of confidence or just to relax is to just sit crossed legged, take deep breaths, and just generally try to chill out. It makes me feel really enpowered and really calm inside smile If it's hard, try lighting your favouites incense or candles.

An' ye harm none, do what ye will... Isn't the Imbolc supposed to be celebrated on February 2nd? On august 2nd is the Lugnassad! it marks the fall Harvest this is when God starts to loose his strength. and the Goddess becomes pregnant with God... the Lugnassad is called the Feast of Bread or the Lammas...which means loaf mass. place fruits and vegetables on your alter tomorrow! dark_angel_32189 Wraith_92 I just want to say that 100 gold is not that big of a prize.. Wraith_92 An' ye harm none, do what ye will... Isn't the Imbolc supposed to be celebrated on February 2nd? Yes sir, and in the Southern hemisphere, it is February. That's why we celebrate both Sabbats at the same time, because we do have a lot of members who live in the Southern hemisphere.
