This is a PRP between -Polar- and Celeanor. No posting please.  
The stallion ambled along the beach; the sand cooling beneath his hooves. The sun had just set what seemed like only a few minutes ago yet Avaru was rather unsure of the time. The sunset had been beautiful; hues of red and orange adorned with pink spreading across the sky whilst being absorbed by velvety dark blues. A gentle breeze cascaded past Avaru, causing the strands of his mane to toss about in the wind. It was a lovely night and the waves lapped calmly upon the beach. The stallion tread a few paces into the water, enjoying the warm water upon his tired ankles. He had been out almost all day and his hooves had begun to hurt. The black tips of the stallion's long tail danced about in the water as in rushed in and out from the shore. The stallion's ears swiveled about as he recognized the sound of the waves beat down upon rocks along the shoreline some distance ahead. He gave a contented sigh and moved further out into the ocean so the water was just past his shoulder and he stood there for a few moments; his chocolate brown eyes gazing at the shining orb in the shy which was the full moon.

Slipping away was the easy part, most of the forest creatures were quite enthusiastic about helping the young mare evade her father's protective grasp to explore the world. Some even went as far as to offer advice in the realm of the explorer, and even the romantic... not that Muriel really understood what most of the birds and bees talk meant.. but it had been fun to listen too.
Afterall, listening to such talk was a step closer to freedom. And freedom was the all-encompassing goal of most younglings her age,
Yep, adulthood definetly had it's perks.
Flicking her short tail merrily, Muriel proceeded with careless ease through the remaining underbrush, appearing once again beneath the bright moon; pausing only to stare with utter astonishment at the expansive vista that was the sea.
She had heard of it of course, and it was said that this was where she had come from. Which sort of explained her natural affinity for water...being that there was quite a lot of it in front of her... and probably why her poor father was constantly fishing her out of streams.
But all that she had heard.. all that she had dreamed.... just... paled in comparison.
"It's beautiful..." She whispered, oblivious to the dark swimmer.

The stallion's ears flickered about as he heard an odd noise in the distance; it reminded him of the rustling of bushes. He tilted his head slightly and allowed his gaze to be torn away from the moon to scan the shoreline. The full moon illuminated the entire beach and Avaru noticed a place where the forest reached to the base of the shore; where the dirt and sand mixed together. It was a distance away but the stallion focused his eyes and he squinted at the forest's borders. He noticed the leaves of some tree sway in the breeze and he frowned. That wasn't the noise he had heard... And then he heard it again; this time as well he say the tall bushes coating the forest's edge starting to shudder and twitch back and forth. The stallion was rather bewildered from the movements and then he caught sight of a figure emerging from the bushes. It was another soquili; that much was apparent in the moonlight. He continued to squint at the figure and moved towards it through the water; unheard of the splashing of the waves upon the rocks. Upon hearing the other speak he realized it was a female; her voice was gentle and quiet. He wanted to reply to her comment; yet was afraid he would startle her if he made any noise.
