Ilori hummed loudly as he ran up a hill on the otherwise flat plain. He had done this around thirteen times now, but had yet to grow bored. As soon as he reached the top, he would throw himself down the slope and roll the entire way, and try to see if he could keep a tune while he did so. Thus far, he had only done so twice before he hit something that interupted him. Once he hit, he would sit and pout for a moment before running back up the hill, humming, and then do it again.
He was quite certain that most lions might not find this amusing, but he didn't mind in the least. Besides, when no one else felt like playing with him, he was entirely certain that it was just fine to make up his own games!

Adanna had finally woken up. The energetic lioness often crashed pretty hard and when she was out there was no waking her. So it was little wonder that her boys had entertained themself. Since Nukta and one of her sons seemed to be missing she assumed they were together without much worry. Upon seeing a little orange, white, and black shape move up and disappear over the hill, however, she rose.
Loping easily to the top of the hill she sat at it's peak, yawning widely and watching her son tumble down recklessly. A more careful or worrisome mother might have fretted about his safty. But all she saw was her boy having fun and that was fine with her.

Ilori went down again, kept the humming up until he had almost reached the bottum, and then fell in a hole and lost his tune. He was about to get up and do it again, but then he saw that his mother was awake, and his face brightened almost instantly from his pout, "Mom!" He cried in excitement, running towards her, "I made up a new game! You have to watch! It's funny, I promise!" and with that, he took off up the hill again, much faster than before, and then tossed himself backwards and tumbled back, trying to keep up his tune.
Which failed, as per usual, before he landed softly at his mother's feet on his back, staring up at her. He blinked a few times and grinned, "You have a good sleep?"

Ada looked down at her son with a grin. She lifted a paw and ruffled his mane with it, a rough gesture of affection. "Yep, as I always do," she replied simply. It was the rare night where she couldn't get to sleep. She looked up at the hill, wrinking her nose in thought. Then she suggested giving him a little push, "'ey now, why don't we race like that, mm? Bet I could beat you down!" A grown lioness rolling backwards down a hill...that would be a sight to see.

It took little Ilori less than a second to nod furiously, "Yes! YES! Come on, I'll beat you all the way up and down, promise!" he swore before he darted back up the hill. Fast for being so small, but there was no way in reality that he would be able to beat his mother. He was willing to give it a shot though, since he loved the time he got with her by himself. He loved his family, of course, but any time he got to play with one of them alone was more than special to him.

Being competitive by nature Ada raced after him with a snap of quick reflexes. She had no shame, that was clear. She waited for him at the top with a smile, her white tail swaying back and forth with pent up energy. No matter how old she got, though she refused to admit she might be aging pretty far down the line already, she loved just doing something. She was restless at heart, but perhaps that was one of her charms. "Come on, almost there!" She called with encouragement and a cheerful laugh.

Ilori bounded up and skidded next to his mother, smiling brightly, "I almost won! You're too fast for me though. When I'm bigger I bet I'll win!" With that, Ilori tossed himself down the hill, still trying to keep his tune going as he bounced and rolled his way down, and also trying very hard not to laugh.

"Beat me? Even with size that won't be easy, my boy!" Ada laughed. She then launched herself forward into a roll. It was done so quickly that she was either extremely reckless, which seemed more likely, or she had done it before. Either way she went tumbling down the hill after her son, the world spinning before her eyes.

Ada landed at the bottum before her son, probably because she weight more than he did. Ilori landed right next to his mother, bumping neatly up against her and unrolling himself. "You beat me again?" he pouted, though he honestly didn't care that much. He didn't mind losing. Not really. He had gotten used to it and was perfectly content to just spend time with his mother. Or his brother. Or His father, "Just you wait until I get big!"
