Desdemona fluttered her Bae-wings, cooling herself down. Though it was already sunset, the crimson sky reflecting onto the dark water of the ocean, it was hot; she was sweating slightly, after having run for nearly three miles. Her purple coat, marked with golden spiderwebs, was darkened, tinted also by the scarlet sky. It was her favorite time of day, between the time when the dark-wanderers and the light-prowlers switched. A hooting could be heard behind her, but she paid no heed.
Sighing heavily, she stood on the hot sands, her hooves sinking slighty. The waves crashed up against the shore, nearly touching her every so often and she moved back every time it got close enough. She didn't want to get wet, but the ocean looked so inviting...
She waded in up to her knees, savoring the way it chilled her to the bone, though it was warm. She was only slightly worried about the predatory animals around her, brushing up against her and sending a shudder through her body. She wasn't worried about death... she was a loner, without any family she knew about. But part of her wished that the sharks would leave, their scaly bodies causing her to kick out at the nearest one.

Velg'larn looked at the sunset sky, bright crimson colors rippled across the darkening sky. The air had begun to cool, his deep indigo coat glossy drenched with sweat just by simply walking. His silver hung by his side. Empty eyes stared blankly at the black ocean before him.
He needed some fresh air, to get away from the fruitlands for just a while before he had to return to Colleen quickly. His two new children would depend on it. This was a chore. But he didn't care just as long as it was finished. Velg'larn walked forward onto the burning sand as though it was just simply there. Velg'larn sensed another nequus around, or nearby. The presence was familiar, and he remembered which meant something important. Perhaps it was one of his family members.
A lighter shade of purple and a golden streak down her back and golden webs and a lengthy silver mane.
"Desdemona..." Velg'larn said quietly approaching his daughter quietly. She was lashing out at something in the water when it came too close.
Velg'larn continued his approach. He had brought his children here when they were young, Kali had requested some place amazing. So he had brought them here. It wasn't much to him but they had seemed to enjoy it. Desdemona had always been the odd one of the bunch and didn't get along with the other's as well. He had sometimes wondered were she had dissapeared to
Four black hooves thumped rythmicly along the sandy shoreline. The white mare with a grey spiral horn in the middle of her forehead and bae wings. her red mane flew behind her every step she took. Lilith was content trotting along the ocean's shore little did she know she was about to be reunited with one of her sisters she had strayed from.

Desdemona whipped around, startled by the sudden voice that greeted her. A stallion stood near her, and she recognized the spidery markings on his coat... but as she racked her brain for the answer of who this was, she came up with none.
"Who are you?" she said coldly, her eyes narrowed with determination as she stood up taller, puffing out her chest. When she had been here with Ignatius, they had talked about the 'friendly' stallions that would take a mare as their own against their will... she hoped that the stallion in front of her wouldn't do that.
But, something inside her told her that he wouldn't do that. Sure, she thought of herself as intimidating, but she didn't know what others thought of her.
"What are you doing here?" asked the purplish mare in the same cold tone.

Who was he? Now that was intresting, she didn't even know she had a family. "I am Velg'larn." he said then added "Strange for ones daughter not to recognize her own father." Velg'larn paused and said her name "Desdemona." Apparently she didn't remember Storm, or her three other sisters. That would explain a lot. Velg'larn had heard about such things happening before a nequus loosing their memory of a previous life because of some incident or they just don't want to.
"Just because you have a reya horn and are trying to stand taller than me doesn't mean you are intimidating." he stared back at her coldly. Velg'larn was a large bae to say the least standing about a hand taller.
She was defiantly his daughter. Perhaps he would mention her sisters latter.
"As for coming here... does it even matter?" He replied, "What would you do with the information I gave you Desdemona?" The handsome bae who was her father stood in front of her. The burning sand having no effect upon his hooves, they were as cold as stone.
Multi colored eyes gazed onward in the distance through her red webed masked upon her white face. Two nequus stood talking as she continued her trot both were familiar she realized as she came closer. Lilith couldn't figure out how they were familiar yet from her distance, but a feeling was there as she continued closer.

"Father?" she asked, surprised. Her father, her dad, was here, in front of her... she didn't remember anything about him, but she recognized the markings on his coat to match her own... the same cold attitude... She remembered her mother only briefly, scowling as she thought of her. She was a Reya, and Desdemona despised her... making her a 'filthy half-breed' in the eyes of many Nequus around her.
"Why did you leave us?" she spat, moving closer to her father. She was disgusted by him, by the fact that he left them. He left her. She didn't remember her siblings at all... did she even have siblings?
Desdemona's mind was racing. Suddenly, as if she had died and her life passed before her eyes, she remembered her mother and one or two of her siblings clearly.
"You are my father," she stated coldly. "There is no doubt about that."

"I never left." he said calmly. It had been true he hadn't. Velg'larn watched them often from nearby; he had never been sure how to take care of foals. He wasn't the warm and loving father type. In his own way he took care of them.
"I take it you had forgotten that when you continually ran away." Storm had told him of her fleeting efforts to separate herself from her siblings.
He protected them from other nequus nearby who wished to harm them and those who thought of them as disgusting. His being may not have been as apparent as Storms but he was there. Being as she had no memory she wouldn't recall. Kali had often begged him to tell stories or take them places. This stories were always monotone but he had some interesting places to take them.
“I’m satisfied that you remembered me Desdemona.” He said in a composed manner. Velg’larn still hardly showed any emotion. Even to his children.
Velg'larn wasn't to concerned with her anger towards him. After all he hadn't been too concerned with anything in his life besides killing his brother. Who he hadn't mentioned to his children on account of Storm would be angry.
Lilith broke into a gallop down the sandy shore her hooves kicked up large ammounts of sand as she went. She realized the two figures were her father and sister. Well one of her sisters anyway.
"hey!" she called wondering if they would even be happy to see her. Lilith knew father would at least even if he didn't show it.
