So has any other guard teams had AWFUL uniforms? Two years ago, we did a show called the Hypar Effect. (no not hypEr....hypAr.) And our uniforms were neon green jumpsuits. And then our parents started complaining so we had to put these ugly fishnet things over the tops. (they were tight jumpsuits. eck) Any other disasters???

And two years ago the team I'm on wore this hideaous dress thing that the flag would get caught in all the time.

I've been going through old uniforms at the high school I went to to see what has value before the ignorant band boosters throw them away and there are some really bad ones in there alongside some real gems. There are copper tunics and rope belts (think medieval monk) from a Narnia show and these things called mermaid tops that are basically a triangle of green fabric with ribbons that velcro around the neck and around the midsection. Hideous. There are some really nice ones too though.

Ugh. My uniform last year was terrible. Of course, our coach pays for our uniforms and silks out of her own pocket, so we get new stuff every 10 or 20 years. Anyway, last year our outfits were just awful. The entire thing was pure black spandex. We had these long-sleeved crop tops that went under a sort of pants-slash-tank-top thing and then over THAT we had this ankle length one-shoulder dress thingthat was solid until it hit the knees. Then it was slitted about 10 times, so we had these weird strips hanging off our legs that our poles would always get caught in. Or tripped over. Sometimes both.

A few nights ago I was going through the uniform closet with the designated band mom who's in charge of the uniforms, and I was helping her straighten everything out and put it away nice and neat. We found these ugly light gray... things... that were just the most hideous thing ever. I can't even describe it. Turns out, it's the uniform my instructor had to wear when she went to school here. I felt so bad for her. But we also found these super awesome sparkly vests and we each put them on over our tee shirts and went around for the rest of practice like that. It was awesome.

at least you guys didn't have to be the shades of red and look like peptobismo pills! omg when i find those horrible pics ill show you. lol it was from my freshman year! so scary to look back at it!

My old uniform was....well, you could call it a burglar outfit. Black turtleneck leotard and black pants. Then when the season was mostly over, they added blue/silver sashes and scrunchies.....
At least we got lovely blue tunics the next year. sweatdrop

gaah this year our uniforms are these green leotards with a red arm warmer, they kinda look army like, well thats the purpose but they dont look good at all, some pple yeah but not all. and they r really uncomfortable, u have to wear tight under them or no something cause they r see throughish.

I've gotta say, even though I haven't read all of these, that our guard has the worst uniforms of all. Well that is....we don't have uniforms. We march in band t-shirts and jeans. -_-

are guard has to wear the marching band uniforms or the old cheer leading uniforms.

two years ago our show was called "Shadows: A Silhouette In Perception" Well the guard were the shadows. We had to wear skin tight black valor uniform. A one piece uniform I must say. To top it off we had to wear masks.
At our first competition the masks hadn't come in yet so we had to paint out faces Black. Inside our ears, our noses all in our hairline. pretty much any part of our skin that was showing had to be painted. And we had spray our hair black. It took three days to get all of the paint out of my hair line
Just Horrible!!!

Last year our guard skinned Barnie. An attrocious array of green and purple velvet. Not in the least bit attractive.
