Well let's see, Death Note has caused me to develop a unnatural obsession and love for my favorite characters in the story, that when and after tragedy strikes them, I feel immense feelings of sadness.
Maybe I even truly loved and cared deeply for said fictitious characters.
As for losing motivation for school work?
Hmm, that's a good possibility. But not sure if Death Note is all the blame.
Though I have noticed that within the past two years since I discovered Death Note, I for some reason had become more lazy towards school work.
As for how Death Note affected me socially, from the past two years, I've grown from shy and timid, to a more confident and not so self-conscience person.
But since I also didn't really have much of a social life, I've really latched onto Death Note and Death Note was my life. For almost two whole years!
I've started reading Death Note as a sophomore in high school, to now moving on to being a senior.
Well a lot like everyone here Death Note has invaded a few of my dreams as well.
This one is very wierd:
So, I'm in this fancy hotel room with the Chief, L, Light, Matsuda, Mogi, and Aizawa.
L is seated in his usual manner, about to ask Watari to bring him some sweets.
Then either myself or Light (can't remember) says to L, "It's hard to believe he hasn't developed diabetes yet."
Then a bunch of obese people pop out of no where and just laid sprawled amongst the rest of the sofa holding their bellies.
Then, I'm just like, "WTF???" and wakes up.

Thinking things through to deeply. Apples and strawberries are even better than before <333 I've got colder towards people I dont like ^^;
Death note is about 40% the cause of these things. Except the apples and strawberries...Where its 100% the cause xD;

Huh? You mean lost interest of DN? NO!! :'D
-Negative things like loosing the motivation in school/work
Before but now, I'm aiming high to get DN merchandises and internet access.
-Social problems?
And again, no. O: HELL, MY FRIENDS KNOW DEATH NOTE TOO. <3 But, I prefer being alone acually. o:
edit: I have a lot of dreams about the DN cast. Once, I was at this weird hotel and some guys are taking pictures of L so I grabbed their phone and threw it to the floor-- Then I smashed it with my foot. Light came in and copied L's roundhouse kick. o.o;; That's one of them.
There's also another one where my school went to a field trip at the investigation building of the SPK and then we were asked to join a club. I joined the literature club but to get in it, I need to get Matt from the Mafia and make a portrait of him with a banana. >___o Since I had no materials, I havee to make a sculpture of Matt out of Mello's chocolate. o: But instead, I made an elephant with Matt's goggles. wow...the last dream almost gave me a brainscar. But that was seriously random and I laughed whee

I got an obsession after reading Death Note, lol. Last year when I went on my Mexico cruise, I brought like 20 different manga, this year when I went on my Alaska cruise, I brought Death Note volumes 1 and 2, ^_^ I read them on the ship, in line, at the Airport, on the plane....
Death Note has caused me to have another obsession. It made me think I'd like die or something if I didn't see the Live Action, lol. So I am downloading them, they have English Subs because my Japanese isn't that great, lol.
I've started making an L doll....He's sitting in my drawer half finished...I'd like to finish him but I'm not sure how to make his lower half, lol....
As for school, I've always gotten good grades, and my grades actually improved a bit although they've always been good. I get paid for good grades, which I use to buy manga and anime. Money = Death Note
School:
As far as I know, no one has read Death Note accept me.
Social Life: No probs ^^;
No DN Dreams yet. >_>

I know this is going to sound weird, but Death Note has had a really positive influence on me, gah-immaloser. Before in school I was wishy washy so so 70-80's. Now I wanna strive to be like, well, L. I sit awkwardly, not like L, a sorta cross legged messed up version, and people yell at me to sit normally @_@. Also, Death Note taught me healthy eating habits (of course, not from Light and L >_> . Ryuk should be the mascot for diabetes!)

I don't like watching tv anymore either. There's just nothing good on.
And I hate movies. I'd rather play a video game or something. Watching movies is boring to me, unless it's really funny.

Oh God....Death Note is becoming a bad influence on me, lol. I stayed up 'til like 3 or 4 watching DN, and I went from Episode 7 to 17 and I started deducting and stuff and today I started making deductions and desided that my dad killed my cat, hid her body in the bushes by the front entrance ((hes an emt and knows about how dead body's get an odor after a while though so it makes my theory false)) and he made up a story about how she disappeared, and I started questioning him.
My dad's in the clear now, but still...I'm trying to figure out what happened to my kitty. >_< She really could be dead in the bushes though lol.

I kinda have social problems...I'm not sure though
Like when I'm with one person I'm more talkitive then if I'm with more people in the group. Then I tend to be observant like L. I just sit back and watch how they react towards each other. 3nodding

Hmm.. I don't watch much TV anymore, read novels and fanfics..

I wasn't really a school loving person anyway but now I don't do assignments anymore! And honestly I am supposedly studying right now for an exam the next day but I would rather visit this guild. blaugh Aside from school related inconveniences, my money has dwindled into a few coins because of buying a lot of DN items, I don't really care about the money though cause I really feel satisfied with the items I bought.. rofl

Hmm.. I often imitate the lines from the anime (mostly Light's).. and my sister looks at me weirdly and kicks me when I imitate L crying and if other people sees me..well, they smile or are giving away fits of laughter. Some of my friends says I'm already obsessed with DN with all those DN items on my ID, my wristwatch and bag! Well I think it creeps them out xp I'm planning to lend them the DVD if only the borrower would return it already

I thought it was pretty funny when I started Death Note and saw that L sat like me.... nothing really affected me on Death Note besides the fact that it was a really addictive series.
