I can't juggle, either. I can use a staff and nunchaku, but that's from martial arts. I wanted to learn "glowstick poi", but I haven't gotten around to it.
Actually, few of the physics majors I know can juggle. The juggling team here is made up mostly of history majors, I believe...

Well, glowstaff/firestaff and actual martial arts staff are quite different, being that neither glowstaff nor firestaff are meant to be functional in the least.
I think I'm going to stick to poi and Rubik's cube solving as my stupid human tricks for now; I really doubt I have the coordination for a meteor-hammer, much less a fire-meteor.

No juggling competitions: I'm obviously going to lose. gonk
Unless I work out a way to speed up time and learn. Methinks this calls for exotic matter.

lolz @ Iguana. You and your exotic matter.
Yeah, martial arts staff and glowstaff are different, but the key is that both teach the same coordination skills and movements of the wrists. And frankly, martial arts staff isn't very useful, either. Demonstrations take a lot of time and effort to put together, and are completely for show. If you're fighting with a staff, you don't get to make it twirl and do pretty things...lest you be whacked in the head by your opponent.
(My real stupid human trick is roller skating. I'm a roller figure skater, if anyone here can wrap their head around that).

Or maybe the ability to read while walking, talking, attending a lecture, doing homework, and ascendign and descending stairs. The last one used to get me in trouble with my teachers, they seemed to think i would trip up or something. Yeah, when I'm not doing something mathematical, I'm reading.

Swordmaster Dragon lolz @ Iguana. You and your exotic matter. Scientifically proven to be a source of negative energy density, and makes you 53.5% more attractive to members of the opposite sex [or same, if you are so inclined; sheep, cats and sponges as well]. Whenever you have a really really good idea but the observed principles of the universe seem to be against you: you need exotic matter!

Swordmaster Dragon And frankly, martial arts staff isn't very useful, either. Demonstrations take a lot of time and effort to put together, and are completely for show. If you're fighting with a staff, you don't get to make it twirl and do pretty things...lest you be whacked in the head by your opponent. Well, I do have to agree that it doesn't hurt an opponent as much as other things can. Many people get confused, unfocused, and a little bit intimidated when an opponent uses many spinning, long-reaching, and random strikes in quick succession (of course, they'd get used to it eventually so dancing in front of an opponent without doing anything else will certainly get yourself whacked in the head). Also, training in general increases coordination and balance. Layra-chan I think I'm going to stick to poi and Rubik's cube solving as my stupid human tricks for now There's a really cool 5-Dimensional Rubik's cube Program. For right now, my competition ideas are as follows:1) Cryptography Competition: the head of the competition ciphers a message in any way and everyone attempts to decipher it. The first one to post the correct message wins. 2) Logical King-of the Hill Competition: the competition begins with one "true" statement. The the next person to post will first logically prove the previous statement to be false and then post another "true" statement. If one statement is posted for a specified amount of time without being proven false, it's author will have won. Of course, there should be limits to the length of a statement (otherwise people would post long, drawn-out statements). A few rules might take care of any annoying statements such as "This statement is true." That's all for now!

Storm Slayer For right now, my competition ideas are as follows:1) Cryptography Competition: the head of the competition ciphers a message in any way and everyone attempts to decipher it. The first one to post the correct message wins. I have bad memories. Something along the lines of every crypto challenge I've ever seen on gaia being basically: "String S is ciphered text, what is the plaintext? You have no further informaton". As regards fighting with a staff, try fighting with poi. I've actually had fights before, me with poi against someone with a staff. I didn't do particularly well.
