I cannot believe the ALF was just compared to Islamic terrorists. That just goes to show where our government's priorities are.
The ALF has never killed anyone and makes absolute certain that no one gets harmed. They are not the uni-bomber or sniper.

As already stated, the Center for Consumer Freedom is not a reliable source for information against PETA.

I talked with the PETA coordinator in my region recently, and I was really surprised at how reasonable she was. The animal killing adoption thing did happen, but it was justified in my opinion.

The thing I'll note about the animal killing thing, is that those animals would have all died, and most of them were way too far gone, behaviorally or physically to ever be adopted and they weren't killed in any kind of inhumane way like they do in many pet shelters that have kill policies but lack the funding for euthanasia.

That said, I don't support PETA on the sole basis that they're like the vegetarians and vegans that I hate. Outspoken and bent on forcing their beliefs on the world. I hate it when religion does it too.

Why do dome people think it's ok to tolerate it from one group but not another?

I support Peta to an extent. Some things I like, though there are many things I also do not like. SPCA is the same way. It is good and everything, though they are still putting down animals. I agree on the no leather, no fur, etc. Pets, it depends. I have many, but I take care of them. So not so much on the pet thing with them. Leather and fur, I won't buy it, but I have a coat with fur trim. Have never worn it, it was may great grand mothers. I gave all the full-fur coats to different animals organizations for them to use on baby animals that have no mothers, so it is feels like they have a mother. The throwing blood on people at restaurants I have many issues with. You have your wack jobs in Peta. Peta2 is much better, though it kind of prepares you for Peta. GreenPeace is very nice, though they are for everything, not just animals. It's the animals, the people, and the earth. Peta is really iffy for me. I read their stuff and such, though I have different websites for the same stories to compare stuff with, to see how much of it is exaggerated. They are very good at making things seem outrageously terrible by not giving all the facts about things, leaving out details.

A few PETA members are bit extreeme, but most are more moderate, its just the extreeme ones that get most of the attention. PETA is a large organization with alot of people, not all members are the same. I like Peta2, its pretty cool.

The main thing that sometimes bothers me with them is that some of their ads come across as sexist, but thats just me.

FINALLLLLLY!
Oh my gosh, I got so sick of people claiming to love animals and not eat them, YET supporting PETA, they are beyond sick.
I do not support PETA whatsoever, have you seen the way they advertise themselves nowadays? With nude chicks, sick.

If you support PETA, why not support everything else, too? Why don't you just go out, support IAMS, support KFC, support those people killing all those animals, if you support PETA, it's no difference. You are not making a difference with them, and they will never make any sort of difference in this world.

Oh, and for most information, dairy is not "hurting" the animals, when you buy your milk from a factory-type thing, yeah, but if it's the natural way no. I don't think everyone should be a vegan. I just think people should stop eating meat, that is all. Milk, egg (though I do not eat eggs) are in fact good for your body. I was a vegan for a few months, and got really sick. Which obviously shows it's not too good for your body.

I can honestly say I am not a supporter of Peta.

I believe that they would rather die themselves instead of having an animal die, yet they kill them?

I wrote a letter to PETA last year. They do try and save animals the best they can, however, if there is even one injury on them, they do kill them because they believe it is "putting them out of their misery." I think I might still have the letter proving that this is true by one of the managers, but I am not too sure. If I still do, I will post the entire thing on here asap.
