" Well Talons' neither fully sane nor overly good with kids she's sort of adapting to life with them if anything but it all works out." Malen replied while shifting to get comfortable again. " I admire her though she;s probably the most adaptable person I've ever met. I try but someday I can be shoppign and just stop in the streets and stare at people. Sometimes the colours and the limbs and christ the strange eye placements are too much and you just can;t not stare. I mean I was born and raised for 18 years on Earth. Coming here was been many years of strange for me."
" Nope Hazard is usually causing trouble he must like you." Gil smiled though he felt a bit jealous, neither of the dragons had taken to him that quick. finding the remote he crawled onto the couch and turned the t.v on. " What things do you like to watch?"

Christian nodded a little, and snorted, closing his eyes and leaning back against Malen slightly. "I've been in Gaia my whole life," he explained, not bothering to open his eyes. "And... it still amazes me, how diverse it is. As if humans weren't diverse enough, now there are new species of humanoid and subspecies of humanoid and..." He shook his head.
"It makes my head hurt thinking about it." He grinned a little, sheepishly, and settled in. And in the back of his mind... he nagged... Shouldn't you check on the boys, now, Chris? Damn Jiminy Cricket in his head.
Dorian blinked, and nodded a little, snorting in a way that more resembled Christian than anything that might come out of a little kid. He shrugged, then, and climbed up onto the couch, leaning back into it comfortably. "... I'onno..." He admitted, frowning. "Never watched TV before.

" Ah well I'm certain it was an interesting experience growing up here." Malen found it amusing that even those born to this ever expanding world could still be surprised by it's diversity and people. " Sometimes I wonder if one could ever do an accurate survey of all the races flitting in and out of existence on Gaia. That and how the hell the market can expand overnight. there's a million petshops out there and more each day.
Gil smiled and chose a channel " This is good, always nice stuff on." Instantly on the screen appeared a bunch of computer animated characters who were singing and dancing about surfing.

Christian grinned, and shrugged a little. "Gaia's a magical place. New things are happenin' everywhere." He snorted, and looked over. "And I did not just mean to sound like some fortune cookie. Cross my heart." He traced an X over his chest, grinning sheepishly.
"...." Dorian blinked, staring at the TV the best he could. The colors were mostly subdued, but he was drawn in by the singing and dancing. He tilted his head to the side slowly, blinking. "...... This is kinda cool..." came a soft mumbling, eyes still focused solely on the glowing screen.

Malen couldn't help but laugh at that " Whether you did or not I have this feeling that you're going to be a hell of an amusing neighbor."
Gil grinned " Wish it was real, I could dream and make things happen" make the backyard change." gil thought it would be an amazing power to have.

"I hope I live up to your expectations." Christian smiled, and then stretched, sighing. "As comfortable as this is, I should probably take Dorian back to the apartment and get something to eat for the two of us. Then check on the store, make sure Nico didn't burn it down."
Christian shifted off of the hammock, and headed inside to get Dorian. "Dor, buddy, come on, let's head back to the apartment."
"Awww..." Dorian looked up, adjusting his glasses and pouting at Christian. Christian lifted an eyebrow, and Dorian grumbled. "Can't we wait?"
"Sorry, kid, we have to get something to eat and then go see Nico." Dorian cringed at the mention of the man, and whined.
"But he smells like a sewer." Dorian got up anyway, though, and grumbled to Gil, holding out his hand. "I guess I'll see you later." He mumbled, huffing a little.
Christian grinned a little. "I'm sure we'll be back sooner than you think, kid." Dorian nodded, and went to find Malen to thank him for letting him come over. Then he flew back, and hugged Christian, mumbling under his breath.
"'m kinda hungry." Dorian mumbled, grudgingly. Christian laughed and picked him up.
"We'll see you two later." He glanced back towards Malen. "And maybe we'll meet your daughters, too." He smiled at him, then headed out, carrying Dorian on his hip.

Malen had watched Chris go smiling the whole time. The other man was definitely going to be an interesting neighbor. He had laughed softly at Dorian's protest of their leaving and Gil's echoing of the sentiments, even Hazard seemed attached to the young sylph. " We look forward to you're return" he assured the pair before they left."
Gil sighed a bit as Dorian left, now he had no one to watch stuff with. He hoped Dorian would come back soon.
