My gosh I cannot believe how many people are not getting what im saying! How many times do I need to explain!
They have an opinion, they are allowed one.
But It doesn't count!
Certain things are only able to be revealed through the holy spirit by the wisdom of God. Unbelievers are people who try speaking their thoughts without any revelation in their hearts, as if they actually knew truth when they don't even believe in it nor accept it.
It's like a blind man giving an opinion on a grand painting, which he can only hear about and compare to the other things he has heard about, but he cannot see it. His opinion is based entirely on a sense that is not supposed to be used in judgment of the piece of art. Likewise unbelievers give their opinions about God, when they are relying entirely on books and philosophy, when the intended manner to understand God is through the heart and by -HIS- wisdom, which can only be obtained by at least having faith and love in Him in the first place.
The blind man's opinion can matter to the philosophers and bookkeepers, but to the artists his opinion does not matter. An unbeliever is the same, their opinion can matter to philosophers, but to those who see the essence of emotion and beauty behind God, who believe in Him, trust him, the unbelievers opinion doesn't count.

An unbeliever is the same, their opinion can matter to philosophers, but to those who see the essence of emotion and beauty behind God, who believe in Him, trust him, the unbelievers opinion doesn't count. In that case, it would depend entirely o what sort fo conversation you were having. If it's about personal testimony of how God affects your life, then no, an atheist probably wouldn't be the best person to talk to. But what you apparently fail to realise is that those aren't the only sorts of conversations or questions that arise when talking about matters of God and religion, and in many conversations, an atheist's opinion and knowledge can often be just as educated and valid as that of a person of faith. To simply say that "their opinion on God doesn't count since they're atheists" is really a bit stupid.

Medanite Sarcastic_Angel You don't have to be Christian to have an interest in God, or to know about him. Athiests could have studied the bible, trying to get into Christianity, and they just never understood. So they can come here to asks questions to help with their understanding, or to answer questions on what they do know, or question our responses to see how God affects our lives. And besides, it wouldn't be very Christian/Jesus-like to kick them out and not have a say. "...Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."John 3:16 God loves us all, and he teaches that we should love everyone too. Plus we should not judge based off appearences, or beliefs. "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-2. Just remember, W.W.J.D. What Would Jesus Do? P.S. all scripture was taken from a NIV version of the bible. I don't ever want to be alone again...
I agree with you completely God's love should be open to anyone, but if atheists are going to debate about what the bible says, they should just stay away from those threads unless they are going there to have their minds changed..
...Now that I have found a love that never ends. Maybe that's why they're here, Medanite. Even if unknowingly, and God is moving them, without their knowledge, to this guild, so they can learn about him and our religion. And I agree with Sinful. Athiests can know about our religion. They may not understand it, but that's what we're here for. Maybe God placed them here to help convert somebody. They lay the facts, we lay the belief and conviction. And besides, it's good to know about other peoples beliefs. How else do we evangalise unless we know a persons stand point on religion. Firewasp, a blind man still has his minds eye, and if the painting was described to him, he could still visualize it, even if it looked nothing like the original painting. But the picture in his mind would still move him, and he could express his feelings without ever physically seeing the painting. Now I"m not saying we just let them go on, giving out false information. But what we should do is let them speak their mind about what they know about us, and if they're wrong, or they explained it wrong, then we can gently correct them and teach everyone something. And you can always think of why athiests are here as a test from God.
