They look pretty huge when you wear them on your neck. These avatars are so ill proportioned.

As for commercialism, I see no problem in getting money for doing something that you don't have a problem with. Gaia was copying anime/video game items for a long time anyway, now they are getting money for it. It's a pure win situation.
