I have to say the more and more I read into the various religions and groups and practices the more I've come to see many similarities in them, ALL of them! I'd like to create a sort of index with this thread here displaying any comparisons we can find. I hope to come to some sort of basic truth all pratitioners can agree on and perhaps achieve a greater understanding of what we're all involved in here.

I'll start off with what I know of in my fields of interest. I've been practicing Tai Chi/Chi Gueng/Qi Gong/Etc, for a while and I like to say I've achieved a basic level of skill and knowledge, and for the past few days I've been reading about psionics alot. These two ideas have more in common than I thought west Vs. east ideologies could have. Tai Chi and Psionics both tell you too start off visualizing energy in your midrift and practice breathing exercises until you can feel it easily and without trouble. Tai Chi and Psionics have you moce this energy around your body. Tai Chi and Psionics eventually focus this energy in the hands. Tai Chi and Psionics emphasize useing different shapes and mental actions to achieve different physical results. After these points the two methodologies split, but you can see what I mean can't you? I'd like everyones knowledge and experience here in this topic so that we might arrive at a greater truth beyond our personal practice.
