Personally, I tend to mix Shadow's basic attacks(B) with Sonic's special attacks(R). I throw in a little bit of Rouge with her drill kick and flying traps, and I either have Gamma's or Chaos' healing ability(L).

Color-wise, I give him a red horn with a black body and light blue eyes and gloves. I think it's Knuckles Color#1, Rouge Color#2, Cream Color#3, and Chaos Fighting Stance.

Sadly for me, I've never played Battle. The only GBA game I have is Sonic Advance 3, which I won (along with the GBA) in a competition biggrin It's the only competition I ever won.

Those of us who have played it, tell us your views! smile

Wow, long time since I played... lets see...

I think the majority of my attacks were Shadow's attacks... Chaos 's healing (and yes, he is playable, but hard to get), one or two Sonic and Knuckles attacks...

Color wise, black, white... maybe red and still blue colored eyes...

And if I ever got any of ultimate emerl abilities I would switch a few of those in...

Mostly combined with Shadow's attacks, run, and fighting stance along with a few of Rouge's special attacks and Cream's jump...I think...I haven't played it in a while.

See for me, the best move was turnng the game off and removing the game pak.

I couldn't get into Sonic Battle, it was very repetetive. Fight me three timesm fight me ten times, repeat infinitum, ad nauseum.

I beat Sonic and Tails' stories befoe giving up and selling the game.

It could have been better, much better in my opinion.

Well, I actually found this game pretty fun. I paid more attention to the story than how repetitive the controls are. Plus there isn't a dull moment when you try to play against other people. razz

When playing against others, I'd have Gamma's fighting stance turned on. You do get to explode when you run out of life. >:3

I use a mix of almost everyone's moves, I think. I use Rouge's and Cream's traps (Cream's more often than Rouge's). I use both of Shadow's power specials and Chaos Nightmare, Amy's basic and pursuit, Tails' basic air, and Rouge's dash + dash attack. As for shot attacks, I use Amy's ground and Shadow's air. My double jump, heal, and run always set to Ultimate. lol

When I have room to, I use all of Chaos' colors. Agh, why do colors even have to cost some points? ._.;;

If I'm feeling evilly cheap, I turn on Sonic Combo, the Ultimate Air and Ground Shots, Cream's ??? Air Power, and Ultimate Pursuit. User Image I wish there were room to activate all Ultimate cards. I'd love to see how an Ultimate Emerl plays.

EDIT: I decided to look back into my game after reading this topic...and it looks like my cousin trashed all the data. xd Oh well, time to play through it again.

Emerl get's too cheesy if you unlock all of his abilities, but I usually liked a combo of Sonic, shadow, amy and cream.

It was a great game. The only people who didn't really like it were people who weren't good at it....

That seems rather a generalisation, there. CJ for example has set out why he wasn't impressed with it, which seems a perfectly valid reason and in no way implies that he "wasn't good at it".

Some games just seem boring to some people while enthralling others.

Thanks DW =3

I didn't find it hard at all thank you very much. I just find a simple case of fighting and beating a character 3 times to be met with text and then being asked to fight and beat them another 10 times in the exact same way and setting - be it by yourself or with help, or maybe with one other person really rather dull and unentertaining.

If I found it hard - I wouldn't have beaten 2-3 of the character stories in the time it took to get from Southampton to Bristol by the train - about an hour half.

So just some words of advisement :

- Generalisation is never a good thing.
- Be sure you have all the facts straight before you go saying things. =3

Let's keep in mind that over exageration is never a good thing either. You said how it was boring that in the story mode you had to fight the same person about 13 times, and how boring that was. However, the most you ever fight an opponent in the story is 3 times, not 13. The only way you could have fought that character 13 times was if you kept losing to them...
But if that wasn't the case than feel free to clarify.

And generally, I've discussed the game with quite a few people, and those who didn't like it generally said that the opponents we're too difficult. Thus, a generalised statement about those who didn't enjoy the game is appropriate, considering the generalized information recieved. If your experience with the game was different, then that makes you the exception, as there is always an exception with everything.

I haven't owned that game either. Sadly, it's true, but I'd like to play it at least once. However, the only Sonic game I have for GBA is the Genesis remakes that fails.
