Haven923 I would really like to marry my current girlfriend. I know, this seams rather naive of me seeing as how I am only 16, a JR in high school, and this is my first relationship. You may be like "Whoa!! You're insane!!!!!" But, truth be told, I can see myself marrying her. I can't stop thinking about her, I am deeply in love with her, and she feels the same about me. We talk about this often, getting married in the future. Her parents don't like me so much and say that she could do better. Honestly, she could. But she chose me so I am happy of that. We have gone through some really big problems and helped each other through them. She is a strong Christian as am I and we can honestly imagine building a life together. Go ahead, flame me to a burning cinder.... I totally feel you I'm almost 16 and my boyfriends 17 we want to get married so bad

I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years on March 15th, and I believe I know more about her and her life than anybody else, including her parents. We took things really slow to make sure that we were right for each other and we actually had our first kiss only in this past September. That's like 2 1/2 years.

Yeah. Marriage is for life, and it's not something that should be rushed into. Not to say that I don't think you're ready or anything, but it's a big commitment, so make sure you're sure. Especially since divorce really sucks.
On a similar note: you know what's really silly? People that teenagers don't know what love is. That's ridiculous. Of course we know what love is. Just because our relationships tend to be less commital and long term than adult relationships doesn't make them any less real. I only worked at this restaurant in my town for about 6 months. Since I didn't make a career out of it, does that mean I don't know how it feels to have a job? Absolutely not.

What do you want your future husband/wife to be like? I want my future husband to be caring, hard working, good with kids, be able to enjoy childish things, enjoy reading, and be strong in his faith. I've grown up in a household where people don't care about each other and I'm not going to further that. I want him to like to read because I spend so much time doing that, we would have to be able to talk about what's in books together, or we'd hardly ever talk to one another! razz
Do you believe in love at first sight? No, it's lust at first sight. You can't love someone you don't know. You can like them, or feel attracted to them, but definitely not love, personalities are not exhibited on the outside of the body.
How old do you wanna be before you get married? I want to be at least 25, I want to have gotten my Master's and have time to start a steady job. I also want any possible relationship to have lasted more than a couple of years before I marry them, for obvious reasons.

It makes me kinda sad, but I guess living in one of the few hick towns in California doesn't help either... anyways, I have a reputation for making known what I will not do in a relationship... I think it scared away anyone who'd want to date me... sweatdrop

What do you want your future husband/wife to be like? Obviously a Christian with good morals, intelligent, caring, supportive, and has similar interests to mine. I don't like kids, though... Do you believe in love at first sight? ...No, not really. How old do you wanna be before you get married? Don't know if I even want to get married. If I do, it would have to be after I get a stable job and finish college/university, so probably sometime around my late 20's/early 30's.
