I think if you and your mom are close and she's interested in reading it... she definatly should. The best feeling in the world to me is to know someone who loves something as much as I do. If I'm in love with a book or movie or something, I hate when a friend hasn't seen or read it because I can't talk to them.

Quote: My mom read it after me, and she liked it alot. I kinda feel odd when I am reading some parts and wonder what her reactions are since she is older then me, and I wsn't sure if she could related to it as well as me. I am obsessed to say that least, and I am glad she isn't. But I am not sure, sometimes I wish my mom hadn't read it... yea sometimes that would be a negative point since like romantic parts i would feel so awkward talking to my mom with so it would be like...yeaa ahaha

steamyhottwaffle Ive tried to get my mom to read it but she seems only interested in Dark shadows when it comes to vampires. Sadly though i still love her. I wish she would read Twilight or New Moon, i think she would like it. Just give your mom time and she might acctually read it... You wouldn't happen to mean Dark Shadows by Christine Feehan, would you? If she likes Feehan, she'll LOVE Meyer.

you should totally let her read it. I can't my mom into anything that I like, even if I could she would lie to me and said that she didn't like it so I couldn't have it. Is that confussing?

My family already knows that it's best to just smile and nod when I start going on about Twilight, but they're all males so what do they know? My poor brother has a girlfriend and a little sister OBSESSED. All he hears now is Edward this and Edward that. *giggles* I think he secretly wishes Edward weren't fictional so he could push him into the sunlight and make the Volturi kill him already. Poor Edward. sweatdrop

When I started reading Twilight and New Moon, my mom thought the book was evil and stuff. I convinced her that it wasn't, but just a very great love story. As soon as she started to read Twilight, she got hooked into it. I swear, my mom spent the whole day reading New Moon when she was sick and out of work. So now, she's pretty much a big fan of Stephanie Meyer, and we are both going to get a separate copy of Eclipse on August 7th. So, in my opinion, let your mom try it out. My mom is not as young as me, of course, but she loves the series. Give it a try!
