I have never paid $60 for a game. I refuse to fork over that much cash when I know if I wait a bit it'll go down in price. I also buy used all the time, I'd say half of my movies and 90% of my games are used. If they don't work I exchange them for ones that do. If their boxes are beaten up I don't buy in the first place. All my games are as-new but cost me way less than new. 3nodding I look at it as the less I've spent on a game the more money I have left over from my gaming budget to get another game I want as well. I'd rather have two games I like for $40 than have one game I like for $60.

I'll buy used games...I'm so broke that if I didn't, I wouldn't play them at all. crying

I like to be able to have the case and instruction manual though, but I'll live without. A sacrifice I make until my fiancee gets a better job. (I can't work)

いくよ もういいかい まだだよ
Renting games brings weird experiences.

For instance, has anyone played Parappa the Rapper? I rented the game (more than once), and sometimes, on level five, in the toilet level rofl the music would stop, but the patterns would keep going, and all you could hear is Parappa rapping. It was very amusing, seeing the frog just stand there. I wanna buy that copy just so I could make the game get stuck.

But used games don't bother me, except for when they're missing the booklet inserts. That drives me insane!

I buy used games all the time. My game collection is mostly made of used games. If i bought a game that didnt work i just take it back to the store and get another one.

One thing i hate though that is games without cases. My games have to have a case.

I'd LOVE to be able to purchase brand new games all the time, but my budget just won't allow for it. (Unemployment SUCKS.) Since I pretty much only play DS at this point anymore anyway, I've never had a problem with used DS games. And I get them for usually at LEAST half of the cost for them new, sometimes less than that!

It's almost impossible to get new games when you're building up a collection for the SNES and buying the games you missed as a kid on the N64/Gameboy/GBC. It's getting difficult now to buy new Gamecube/GBA games, as well.

That said, I prefer buying games new if there's not a huge price difference.

I can buy a new game, I always check for scratches and make sure the game can be resurfaced if need be...
I don't usually like buying used from like a pawn shop or things like that... But most stores allow for a return within 30-90 days depending on the store...

what makes me angry is "supposedly" rare games selling for tons of money that I *used* to own before I moved out...

Like final fantasy 7 going for 109.00CAD or Chocobo Racing going for 50.00CAD

I buy both new and used games. I do tend to buy more new games though. That might be because I have caught up with my gaming desires though...
