Do you like to use color in your work?
  I haven't tried...
  I love color!
  It's okay, I prefer b/w though.
  RED.

Drawing peoples and animals bore you????? (I don't often draw plants, so I suppose I selectively draw organic things...)

i'm with Euclid on this: how can drawing something alive be less exciting than something that's not alive/real? don't get me wrong, working one's imagination is important and cool, but at the same time...organic is just cool to draw. it's like seeing deeper into the object/person/animal/plant than a normal person would so you can see the intricacies of it.

in conclusion: organic stuff rocks. it's basically magical.

and...plants rule.

my professors won't shut up about making things "organic". it's actually kind of starting to piss me off.

AMEN.

my 2D professor (who, by god, pisses me off EVERY DAY i have that class) can't shut the hell up about how organic that line is, or how organic that flow is, or how organic that square is. WTF. a black square isn't organic. it doesn't even RESEMBLE anything organic!

I like life drawing but that's about it...I hate drawing flowers, shells and pebbles..I don't like drawing portraits really...

I prefer man-made stuff because of the textures which can be shiny or reflective, and man can make things in unusual shapes which you can't get in nature. Sometimes a man made object can be draped or position in a way that organic objects can't.

I like to use color, but don't use a color "scheme" per say. Which probably isn't good.

Now I wanna do something with a color scheme...

Im the kind of person who likes using color that makes your eyes vibrate.

So I use juxtaposition with my blues and oranges a lot.

Blue and orange are the perfect colors to get your eyes to vibrate, but its pretty hard when you paint them yourself.... I normally have to cover up a part of the painting before I continue.

But yes, with color to make it clash in just the perfect way, use complimentary colors in the exact same strength- works every time.

Also, good color examples are Rothko's color fields, those paintings are literally amazing. Pictures normally cannot do them justice, but I dont know if you are located near a Rothko.... I went to SFMOMA and they had the orange and blue one- it was stunning.
