There was a bit of a commotion as Shoom nearly feel out of the hoody but pulled himself back into it after Setsu's little jump. Safely secured once again he poked his head out and for the moment seemed content to delight himself with sight-seeing. There were so many things in the woods! It was likely only a matter of time before something caught his attention that shouldn't and he went off to investigate and start trouble, though.

Bryna did a lazy barrel roll while she thought about Setsu's question. "Some of them come here after they die. Some of them come here after they've died more than once. Ifrit and Valefor are like that. I've heard of some that came here without having died at all, though I dunno how that worked out. Kitsyn says that there's something here they need to do or find, and maybe they can go home after that if they still want to. A lot of the ones that died for good I guess haven't bothered because they wouldn't have a place if they could go back. Or something. Valefor says this place is a second chance for her and Ifrit. But... if anyone's been sent here and found a way back, nobody I know has heard about it. I guess 'cause the ones that are here haven't gotten back and anyone that has gotten back stayed there and didn't bother coming here again." Abstract and literal minded Bryna may be, even obstinately obtuse at times, but she was far from the dullest blade around. She was actually quite perceptive when she bothered thinking about things for more than five seconds at a time.

Setsu's arm guards ended the brief period of thoughtful behavior and Bryna squeeled delightedly and drifted closer to peer at the items. At least the little Nobody was well versed in maintaining relative distance and speed so that even in getting closer to have a look she didn't actually impede Setsu's forward momentum.

The smirk fell from Setsu's face, even as Bryna continued her open delight to arm wear. "Dying more than once? I hadn't expected that." So, she wasn't the only one. But why had the second round of death dropped her here? What was the point, when she held all her memories of passed living so clearly?

Arms dropped back to her sides, her footfalls becoming more smooth and adjusted to this form of walking. Perhaps having her mind focused on something else and not the motion task proved helpful. "So, that's something I need to find out on my own." She had no plans of staying here; unfinished business awaited her in her own world. And if she couldn't find a way out? Was trapped in this body and world? Chilly ears lowered, the white feather brushing against her shoulder. Why not try death again? She had no goals or allies to pursue in this lifetime. Not that she was even alive to call it living. She feared that to exist without any motivation would drive her truly lifeless.

"Behaving yourself, Dusk?" The being had become quiet and still, leaving Setsu abit on edge.

Bryna barrel rolled idly and then started randomly describing Valefor and Ifrit and some of the places she'd been. Setsu was new here so maybe it would help her find her way around.

Shoom was looking up from the gray hood, and when Sestu asked her question he cut off Bryna's random prattling with a rather loud, "Water drippings! No wet friends!" He then stretched up and outward to form a psuedo umbrella which Bryna floated under shortly before rain water finally managed to filter all the way through the thick branches above.

Bryna stuck a paw out and it got struck by a bit, fat, cold raindrop. She squeeked and yanked her paw back. "Cold rain," she stated in explanation.

Hmm, quite a variety of kitsusagi around. An aeon and a fire bearer, interesting. And it appeared they gained abilities young, if she could judge from Bryna's own display. Eyes flickered down to the ground, observing her boots step on the loose gravel. She still didn't know if her own ability had followed in this lifeti.....dimension. And with her energy too low to confirm it, she could only hope.

Eyes rose when Shoom seemed to loom overhead, stretched out like a cover. Rain? She peered passed the approaching Bryna, as if waiting for an enemy to appear. Were her senses that dulled that she couldn't smell the water? Soon, a screen of vertical sprinkles hazed across the woods. Despite her tails bristling at the chill, she left them out to get rinsed in the rain bath. It wasn't as if her own body temperature was that high in warmth either. Still, a sliver of appretiation was felt for the Dusk's efforts. Her boots tredged on, an occasional questioning given to Bryna on how much further till the destination.

Eventually they got low enough on the mountainside that they reached one of those peculiar spaces of empty meadow between two different types of forest where trees from neither really grew. At the lower foothills the trees started up again, and beyond them at some point was visible a copse speckled plain. It was really quite a view, both below and above if one cared to tread out far enough to see back up over the trees on the upward slope. They were smaller this far down, in any case, and easier to look back up at the mountain over.

The rain shower apparently decided it was bored and let up about the time they broke tree cover. "We can get back from here, if you'd rather stay. Or you can come visit my house! We can share lunch!" Bryna didn't really understand about Setsu's peculiar state of being yet, any more than most people understood her own.

Shoom made a disappointed sound after realizing that the rain had stopped falling and he couldn't snap his little zippered maw at it any more. Such a shame, catching raindrops was fun.

A divide? So was this the natural border of 'mountain' and the location named 'realm'? The new terrain was flat, and from this view, continued on for miles. But there were no hints or signs of cities or towns; no rooftops peeking over the massive and many trees. Eyes flicked back into focus as the drizzle died down and dissappeared from sight, although the lands stayed grey in aftereffect.

The slope became to hard for her legs to stand against alone, and her body fell forward into its natural pose of four-legged stance. What were once hands for her padded down on the wet and muddy ground. How annoying. A blank and unamused face turned to peer at the floating kit. Come visit? Darn child logic, giving such invites to strangers where others would think twice. She remained quiet as her thoughts hung, just as unmoving as her white feather dangling from her ear. "No. Thank you." And she shrugged her shoulders about, effectively removing the slinky Dusk from her hoodie. The "Shoom" bounced to the floor with a small thud. "Now go home." She had her own to continue finding; no distractions intended. Scales now cleaned from the rain glittered as her tails twisted, before she veered to the side and down the slope. Perhaps there were more clues in this place called realm...
