How many of you have attended (or are attending) an art college or institute? Which are you (or did you) attend? What things did you have to do in order to get in? How hard is it to get into your college/institute? I ask these questions because I am currently looking for a decent art college to attend, but I'm not sure where to look. I'm trying to find one in New York, Texas, or South Carolina, and have already looked into the Art Institute of Seattle.

I'm a bit too young to attend college, and I haven't quite decided what to do with my life really... O.o
But art related jobs are becoming a really popular career, so I heard, so competition may be stiff. D:

I go to an "Institute". Haha. George Washing Carver Center for Arts and Technology...but its a high school blaugh

Actually, I have no reason to try to pursue that career path. I'm attending to become a pharmacist, but Photoshop stuff tends to sit on my computer for months before I try to finish anything.

This year, im gonna try to attend FIDM. :3
Fashion Institute for Designer Merchandise.
It has Computer Graphic classes there, so im gonna go there.

I still have another 2 years before I got to college but I plan to go to SVA (School of Visual Arts) in NY if I get accepted. ^-^; They have illustration and cartooning so its like manga-friendly.

Well here in Canada I am applying for advertising and on of the school Sheridan is the most famous school for art and animation, also Toy store and other Disney movies were made there! One of the programs New media I wanted to take is WAY hard to get in. Makes me sad. But ya!
