Just a random little piece I wrote whilst bored one night. Enjoy =D

He looks so beautiful with stagelights in his hair. His hair has been doing a lot of growing too... it's almost at that unruly stage where it hides his glinting eyes. Such eyes too. Hazel; so many shades of brown, gold... twisted with green. I can't lie... that's what brought me to him. It all happened one night when New Jersey had been pummelled with rain. The roads were slippery... it wasn't the driver's fault. He hadn't seen me in time. Mind you, that didn't give any reason as to why he hadn't stopped. He'd ploughed his car right into me and left me lying in a pool of my own blood in the rain. But I was saved by a magical voice in my ear telling me to hold on. Saying that I was going to be okay. He'd called the ambulance and stayed by my side until I woke up. His eyes were the first thing I'd seen... and they looked down at my bruised, bloody face with something akin to pity.
"It's okay," he'd said, "you're at Belleview Hospital. They're taking care of you." I'd struggled to sit upright, but his slender, pale hands had laid me down once more. "Stay still," he'd smiled faintly, "you're still weak." It was from that day that I'd actually had a reason to live. Someone to live for... someone to die for. I'd taken his hands, looked deep into those spell-binding eyes and whispered two words.
"Thank you..." After that we'd been interrupted by a doctor. He'd taken up the clip-board at the end of my bed and ran a bespectacled gaze over them before looking up at me.
"Ms Mortenson?" he'd asked. I'd nodded and the doctor had carried on without another glance in my direction. "You've been involved in an accident, we're running tests to check you're alright, but there aren't any visibly broken bones... you've got off lightly."
In the months following that Gerard and I had been inseperable. We'd spent hours just walking through West Hudson park. He'd told me of his band. Of his battle with drug addiction. I'd told him of my battle with self-harm. But there wasn't pity in those eyes anymore. There was respect... understanding... trust. We'd fallen in love. Before long we'd moved in together. Tonight is the night he and his band are playing the Birmingham International Centre. But I can't even bring myself to care where I am at the moment. All I know is that there is one thing that matters right now. Just me and him. Together. His gaze flickers over to me, shooting me that devilishly beautiful smile and I can't help but feel myself swoon inside, just as I had the first time I'd looked up into his eyes on that rainy, New Jersey night in a haze of pain. Sometimes I'm not sure if I'd died that night and was in heaven right now, but then I just have to look up to see him onstage. Damn... he looks so beautiful with stagelights in his hair.
