I just thought it would be cool if we posted some things about some myths we heard or some stories. I have a book called 'Weird Illinois' that has some pretty good ones in it. ((all being in the state of Illinois, of course))

Yeah, I read a book like that, called "Haunted Wisconsin" It was awesome. But there was nothing really interesting in it.

One of my favorite myths is The lizard man of Lee County. Seems really interesting to me.

I know alot of myths from a class at school I took, but I still think the weirdest is the "swan maidens" and its many versions, because they for no apparent reason are repeated all over the world in smiler forms with just different names. It realy make you wonder if it was based on truth.

i like myths about greek gods. like eris. it is said that she threw the apple of discord into a bunch of goddesses and they began to argue this eventually lead to the Trojan war... cool isn't it.
