the_wrong_girl I should...but right now my brain, heart and soul--or lack there of--is still being filled up w/ naughty images thanks to that ol' insouciant b*****d Jarvis and his partners in smut Pulp. *le sigh* Not even Carlos himself could fight that. LOL It's too much for him! f e r r i s PHEROMONES 'Our Love to Admire' = Greatness.
I didn't like 'The Lighthouse' at first but I listened to it on repeat as I cried to the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It fit really well.
(I'm such a nerd)
Probably my fave tracks are 'Pioneer to the Falls' and 'Rest my Chemistry'. 3nodding Yes! Ferris, I swear to you, no s**t: I cried while reading the DH spoilers and listening to "The Lighthouse." *high fives* "Pioneer" and "Chemistry" used to be my favorites but then I listened to the rest of the album... It's all so good. 3nodding
TESTACLEESE "The Lighthouse" sad? Are we listening to the same song? It's about taking someone to a secluded, private, isolated place for the lovin's. How so?

@Unforgettable Mistake: LAWL, it wasn't cute. I was trying to be all discreet about it too because I was in the car with my family.
@Norman: Oh man, we are cool cats, aren't we? Well, I love the whole album but Pioneer to the Falls is brilliant. I was on a boat today and I listened to OLTA all the way. It was pleasant.

Dr. Norman TESTACLEESE "The Lighthouse" sad? Are we listening to the same song? It's about taking someone to a secluded, private, isolated place for the lovin's. How so? Think of "The Length of Love" when it comes to this song. "It's safe from the outside tonight and I want that" He wants to go somewhere private. "The storms appetite"; "Let the waves have their way" The storm is his innuendo for salacious. He also makes reference to urchins sinking again, which is innuendo for "I CAME!"

My full album review:
"Pioneer to the Falls": Massive, haunting, makes me want to dive into Paul's vocals "No I in Threesome": Makes me think of "Obstacle 1" a bit, except mellower in the introduction. Like the break when Paul goes through to "No I in Threesome" "The Scale": Who doesn't like that ending guitar? Feels like this song is chomping on the bit, begging to go off, but the restraint is good. "The Heinrich Manuever": Good poppy single. Almost doesn't fit the rest of the album. But it's growing on me quite a bit. "Mammoth": At first, it felt a little too related to "Not Even Jail." But I really got into the choruses. One of the few songs that I can make out the bass really clearly (did anyone else notice how low the bass is in the mix in comparison to the previous albums? I didn't like that bit). "Pace is the Trick": Sorry Michi, I didn't feel this song too much initially. I don't hate it, but it's mediocre to be honest. I like it better as I go on. The lyrics are interesting though. Complements to Paul. "All Fired Up": Amazing drums in this song! Sam is probably one of my favorite drummers of all time, period. I like the lyrics, the way Paul's voice wraps around them, and the guitar is oddly lazy, but slick. This song may be my favorite besides "Pioneer" "Rest My Chemistry": Image of someone looking out their high rise window at the city lights, smoking a cigarette. The lyrics transport me the most on this album, because God how I feel them. The music is nice slow accompaniement. "Who Do You Think": Odd for me. I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. I'm having a hard time putting together words to review it. "Wrecking Ball": One of those slow langurous songs with dreamy vocals to accompany it. The fade-out ending is so thick and tangible, I keep thinking the stuff I'm imagining with it is happening. "The Lighthouse": The sparse guitar is interesting. The vocals throw me. At first I didn't like this song much, but now I really do like it. Good job on keeping your arm on after that playing, Dan.
SCORE: Better than Antics, not quite TOTBL. I'm looking forward to MSG on September 14th!
