I don't think any of you remember me xD I haven't been on in a while, lmao and I changed my username. But
ANYWAY here's my opinion about the foreshadowing.
Yes, the Sannin and Kakashi's previous team theories are all very acceptable.
But have you guys ever wondered if Sasuke will ever turn out to be like an Orochimaru? I mean come on, he's been living with the guy for like 3 years. Oro's got to have SOME influence in him. And knowing Oro, he'll probably be hiding in Sasuke's mind, ready to attack at the right moment. >.> Like when Sakura's going to kiss Sasuke or or the other way around <.< damn authors...we never know what goes on in those heads of theirs...

Well, if you want to compare team yondy to team kakashi then the dynamics is like this (imo, anyways)
Naruto>Sakura>Sasuke
Obito>Rin>Kakashi
Even though Kakashi told Rin about Obito's feelings. It seem like Rin still wanted to tell Kakashi about her feelings towards him but then Kakashi went on about how he was going to leave her ( maybe he didn't think he was deserving of her feelings)

Still, I like to think of Team 7 as breaking away from the norms. The previous legacies, such as the Sennin & Yondaime's team, all ended up suffering similar fates.
The fact that Naruto and Sakura are still chasing Sasuke, much to everyone's surprise I suppose, is symbolic in that sense. They aren't going to lose him like the Sennin lost Orochimaru, or like Team Yondaime lost Obito.
My personal belief anyway. *goes away to hibernate/cram for more midterms again*

That's what one of the points of the manga is, I think - Team 7 breaking away from the pattern that has dotted Konoha's history.
Anyway, if the Team Yondy dynamics vs Team 7 dynamics might still be comparable, Team 7 might break the pattern - Sakura might be able to get Sasuke's love whereas Rin was never able to get Kakashi's. (At least, as far as we've seen.)
But it could turn the other way around, with Sakura returning Naruto's feeligns.
Ah. This is why I don't like doing this. I feel like I might contradict myself.
