Code Cores
Your code core is a specialized piece of equipment that your character receives upon undergoing the H.A.L.F process. It can be an item they carry, or an implant in their bodies. Whatever you want it to be.
When you undergo the H.A.L.F process, your character is given this item, and it is synced to the user's life-force, creating a bond between the item and the person. When this is completed, the character is put into an unconscious state, and then a captured Artificial Intelligence is inserted into the empty item. When this is inserted into your item, the A.I will attempt to take control of your soul through the bond that the item has with your life-force. If you loose the battle, you die. If you win the battle against the A.I, you survive and subdue it, becoming a master of that particular A.I Code.
When you have mastered an A.I code, and fused it with a Code Core, you gain many bonuses from it. The creature that embodies the A.I's physical form may change the appearance of the item that it is inserted to, but it also makes the user stronger, and allows them to summon the physical form of the A.I to fight alongside him/her.
