I'd say you're probably on the right track. There's not much point in dating until you're old enough where you honestly can consider marriage. Cause that's what dating is all about - seeing if the person is "the one." I suppose the only upside to dating at a younger age is it gives you experience and makes dating easier later.

When it comes down to it, it really is about finding compatibility and love and to see if one is mature enough for marriage.
The thing is, some people in my family tend to kinda put pressure on everyone when they've reached a certain age. Every now and then when relatives talk to me or my sisters they say "Oh, but you guys will be married with kids soon!" and I nod and try to change the subject.
I'm 22, but I still think that's too young for marriage. Not to mention, I'm just not very big on the idea, Lol
