Those who plan to leave the guild or are going on some kind of vacation, post here to future reference so this does not cause problems with a member being banned for a reason other than their own. Anyway if you plan on going on some trip and still wish to be in the guild post here the following:
Date of leave:
Date of return:
Which it shouldn't be too hard to find out but this way will save a lot of hassle.

I have a few questions. What if we aren't planning to be on a trip, but we just don't have time to log in? Do we still get banned? And what if we don't have time to also announce our absence?

No, non activity by any member over a period of a month will be banned if not announced. So if they announce that they will not be on for anytime that month all they have to do is tell me and for that month they will have....a pass if you will, but it only work for a month or 30 days so the following month after if they still think they won't have time to get on then they will still have to tell me for that month as well. And senic we only have what 7.....8, 9 members with us and that includes the staff....so it should be easy to start when we get more members.

Oh okay...I see that you banned everyone already lol
Umm..what if, hypothetically speaking, that during that month of their "pass" that they still weren't able to connect online to report that they will still be away for a longer period? What if, during their time away, that there were no computers available for them to access the internet with?

Yeah, Ralph has an excellent point. What if I, perchance, wanted to backpack across Europe? Yes, I could sign in before I leave (or the Singapore airports FREE internet spots - best thing ever holy crap) and say I was going backpacking in Europe but it could take anywhere between 3 months and 2 years? I think that if people know they're going away, they should just tell an admin an approximation of how long for and they'll tell the rest of the captains and crew. If people don't say anything and don't post for a month we could ban them and send them a PM saying they have one chance left to join and in the joining form they should tell us why they didn't sign on and that they've already been kicked out once. Does all that make sense?

As I said along as they tell me...all they have to do is give an estimate of the time that they will be gone, and the "pass" will be set to end after that...and they will be given min of a week 1/2......to a max of two weeks after that to check in and if not checked before the two week period is up then they will be banned, but they will have a chance to get back in if they are banned, a sum of 10-50 gold will submitted to each of the guild mods "us" to get back in. And this will only start after we get more members.
Hmm I wonder how Europe and Singapore are this time of year.

Okay, I understand everything now.
And now I have the craving to backpack through Europe now! Darn my young age and inability to learn Spanish and other European languages! ARRRGH!
Well, except for French! I've Already learned it. :]
If I weren't so young and penniless at this time, I'd go on a trip to Europe.
Oooh! One more question. Do they really have to pay the EACH of the mods? If you look at the multiplying effect on the 10-50 gold that they would have to pay, it's a little too much just for not being able to participate isn't it?
I mean, people have lives outside of Gaia, you know? They can't always be here. They shouldn't really have to pay a fine just for going outside and getting some fresh air. :[
Sometimes, I think technology these days are tearing up the good old fashioned fun things in life. :[

Well I think that they are getting off good because they have the time that they said that they will be back and they have about half a month after the designated time that they said they would come back on. So really they get more time then the guess for. And we already had this problem of people not participating, I mean we kept accepting their joining requests and then they are in this guild but they don't do any thing. And as I said this thing will only start after we get more people. And when that happens I will deal with the thing. Now is there any other thing that requires attention besides this?

Um you Big brother and Kazekage??? Well I will proubably wont be on for a while. I dont know when I leave and when I get back on but I do know I wont be on for 6 weeks. Starting today and well I dont know If I will be comming on. Just so you know!! I love you both because you both are great insperations!!
