Mehehe so I've decided to write something here finally I know. And just so you know, it's gonna be a rant-type thingy really. Okay so! Know what I really hate right now but don't normally? Cold. yep. Cuz right now, in NZ, it's the middle of winter. And I know what you're thinking, shut the hell up, winter is cold all over the world right? Right. BUT, that's right, BUT, my power went out over 69 hours ago. SIXTY NINE HOURS. Not minutes, HOURS. That's nearly three fricking days. And in the middle of my holidays, in the one holiday we decided not to travel and all of my friends did. And it wasn't so bad, we had candles and a gas camping stove, and a gas lantern. But then last night, the stove ran out of gas and it was our last canister, our lantern turned off and it was our last canister and our candles have all burnt down to puddles of wax on the plates. There's not even a wick left people. What the? And, oh yes there's more, our hot water stopped working this morning. So, I just had a cold shower. And I was avoiding the water as much as possible, but it's damn near impossible in the shower. Not to mention, the bloody bloody fricking power people said it would be on by lunchtime yesterday. And then it was lunchtime today. And now its nearly 4 o'clock and we still don't have power. And, you may be wondering how I'm writing this? Well, yes we have dialup but that's far too slow, so I'm on my laptop and the modem is plugged in to an extension cord leading to next door who has minimal power. And yes, I realise people up north are flooded and their houses are unlivable in and they too, lack power, but we're in Auckland here! Pretty much the country capital and we don't have power!! Not to mention, the people up north (with no power also and unlivable houses) they get moved to refuges with hot food, and hot drinks, and radiators and basically just somewhere comfortable to live in the MIDDLE OF BLOODY WINTER.
Oh, and, just to add to the joyful aura I'm sending out to the world; a few months ago my dog got an eye infection and lost an eye, three days ago he started bleeding into his other eye, and the vet recommended putting him down if the situation doesn't improve. We have him until Monday to try and fix his eye with the drops, so hopefully he'll be okay.
Oh, and, hah here's another one, a little plot of mine really. I have a friend who is constantly pissing me off, but seeing as I'm generally a restrained person I push it down and bury it in the rest of restrained anger as you do, and she has no idea but she gets mad at me when I don't talk (which is usually when I'm digging the hole for the restrained anger) so I have come up with the master plan of all plans. A lot of the time, when I find something I love, something new and exciting and I'm basically just freaking out over the awesomeness, I tell this friend and she copies me and, not only takes the wind from under my wings, but jumps onto my back and hacks my wings off with her bare talons. So, this happened with Grey's Anatomy, and bear with me here, in NZ we have 2 episodes left to go until the end of the season, and I have them on my computer so I watched them, of course. So, every time she pisses me off, I'm going to blurt something out that ruins it for her. And I know she'll piss me off, because she's been trying to convince me to go to some ball with her next Saturday and I said I would so she would stop calling me and leave me alone. But now, I have to tell her I can't go because HP7 comes out that day and I'll be reading it all night. Hence the anger, hence I say "Harry Potter and co. booked this date of my calendar months and months ago so too bad, not to mention did you know Burke and Christina don't get married." And she'll get this horrified look and say "What?!" And I'll say "Yip, it's true. Not to mention Grey and McDreamy break up." And she'll probably start screaming at me, and try to slap me, but I have nails and she doesn't so I'll scratch her face to a bloody pulp if she tries anything and walk away with a smug little smile.
It's the small victories that make life worth living wouldn't you say?
