No. If I was a Christian it probably would though, Im bi.
No, I changed my religion for one that fit me better.
Christianity from I can tell, though I have Christian friends who are perfectly fine with it, infact one of my Christian friends is bi.

Here's my timeline:
Starting at Birth: strict Catholic upbringing; all sexual feelings, especially those not towards a rich member of the opposite sex, are evil. Women's sexual feelings are especially evil.
Starting at 3: I began to feel aroused when seeing less-than-clothed women.
Starting at 12: began studying and converting to Paganism
15: realized I was bi (75% straight, 25% lesbian), but didn't tell anyone
17: began losing my attraction to men (75% lesbian, 25% straight)
19: came out as a 100% lesbian (except for Johnny Depp) and converted to Liberal Quakerism.
My sexual attraction was definitely impacted by my strict Catholic upbringing, but I stayed in the closet so long only because I didn't know any lesbians. The three bi girls I knew in high school were depressed, promiscuous and drug-users so I did NOT want to take advice from them. When I came out, my sexuality only intensified my personal spirituality and my political activism. Not my beliefs at all, they had changed before I realized what my sexual feelings were.

I would think that sexuality plays an important role in both religion and morality itself. But I think that it doesn't hold the most importance in choosing a belief; if I weren't straight, I'd still be agnostic. I mean, aside from sexuality, there's also a question of morality, conflicting religions, lack of substantial proof of the existence of God, etc.

GameAngel64 My perceived definition of the word "pansexual": A pansexual is someone whose love/sexual desire is not determined or influenced by the particular genitals someone has (i.e. gender), maybe not even the physical body. A pansexual loves/is aroused solely by the personality of the person. Pansexuality transcends the physical, what can physically be seen, and the physical gender of a person. Gender does not play a role in 'attraction,' nor do physical characteristics (gender) inspire sexual desire. It's not the same as someone who is bisexual because a bisexual is just capable of finding either a man or a woman's body "sexy." Sorry if that was not explained well O_o That's how I see pansexuality as well, and that's what I believe I am, if you go by that definition. Anyway! My sexual orientation would not affect my religion (did I have one that I agreed with) but it would probably affect how I acted around people that shared my religion (no need to go parading around as a bi around Catholics. Starting a war that really didn't need to be started) sweatdrop As it is, my mum still doesn't know that I might not be 100% straight.

Sakne How does your sexuality affect your religious beliefs? Well, it doesn't. Sakne Second question: Did you change religions because of your sexuality? No. I am LDS, and I am straight. Pretty easy that way. wink Sakne Third question: In your opinion, what religion is most condemning based on sexuality and which is most accepting? I would imagine one of those fire and brimstone type Christian groups like Pentecostals? As for accepting, I have NO idea. Even groups that seem to be accepting (Wiccan, etc) seem to be more accepting OF GLB groups that straight people, so maybe it swings back the other way, I don't know.

I don't think me being gay has ever really effected my religious beliefs.
My mom likes to think that I left the church because of it's stance on homosexuality; but I left because I realized that it wasn't the right spiritual path for me.
Also, I think Wicca is probably the most accepting when it comes to homosexuality and I'd say that Islam is probably the most condemning when it comes to homosexuality.

I am a lesbian, and being Pagan, it doesn't matter in the least that I am. We don't care, love is love, just love the earth too.
