I agree with Seraph, in the sense that, I believe that God is testing us every single day, and that following His teachings means more when we get to Heaven because we have free will, and because we chose him over Satan.

The subject was on prayer, and wetehr or not it works, which was part of the original topic. Discussions DO tend to change over time, flowing with new bits of information and responses to old bits of information.
This post is in response to the subject of off-topicness brought up by Pyro, who is commenting in the context of our shift of focus.

Is is that bad to talk about things in general? If it strays a bit we get to learn more about diff idea and about other things and views. Is it wrong to discuss them here? I like the idea of growing from a small idea to something larger. But okay I could be wrong and will leave it at that.

All that sucks. sad I'm praying for the kid.
But as for internet videos, I agree with Zin and Pyro; The message of the song didn't even fit the video, it seemed like. It was just kind of annoying. Here I'm supposed to be feeling sad about Kaleb's situation, and outraged at the babysitter, but there's a joyful and celebratory song playing in the background. I really would have rather had it in pure text form.

I'm going to have to agree with Zin on this one. The video IS annoying. All the colours flashing, enough to give me a seizure. But it's sad. I can't believe someone would do that to a child, like 'Never shake a baby' isn't publicized.
People are disgusting.

Fially back on topic. Yay!
I forget what they call the stratagy. Theres a technical name for it. Emotional Appeal isn't it. Its meant to be a bit sarcastic. Cute, fluffy, shiney, puppy dogs and dream drops, and then you see its about something so horribal.

People are disgusting. I'm pretty annoyed with the video as well as the woman who shook him in the first place. The video looks and sounds like it was made by some angsty 12 year old. It doesn't convey the gravity of the situation.

I suppose the video was pretty sappy, but the positive side to it is that Kaleb's getting a lot of support from people across the internet, and his story is raising awareness.
Yes, even through the sappy video, whoever made it is raising awareness.
And that's what counts.
To me, anyway.
