Daisy smiled brightly at Angel and mouthed 'Are you okay?' Just at that moment A pen dropped from the vent at which Daisy said in an innocent and quiet voice "Is it just me or did a pen just drop from the vent over there?" She pointed with her slender fingers to the vent where Paige was hiding and Daisy was thinking Purrrfect. However, she kept her composure and merely watched as the classes heads turned to the vent and the pen that was lying on the floor.

The Principal had been waiting for Angel to get up and come over but instead Daisy had said something strange. The Principal looked over to the vent which everyone was starring up at. Then he looked down to the pen on the floor and walked over to the vent and looked up.

It was easy to say that Paige felt annoyed as she gave a short glare to Daisy. She is SO not innocent... Paige had managed to move herself back into the shadows just as everyone went to stare at the vent. It was silent for a moment before she heard the sound of footsteps walking over. The sound of the Principal's favorite shoes coming over. Paige back up some more and quickly push all of her notes and what not into her bag.

The Principal could only think of two reasons for why there would be someone, if there was, in the vent. It was either the one who had set off the chemistry lab explosion or Paige. He could hardly think as to how Paige could have gotten into the vent but he knew, if it turned out to be her, that she would have to explain everything.

Paige could only stare at the vent as it started to be lifted out and light was making its way into the dark closure. She could either get caught or.... What else was there? Either way she was going to get caught. If she stayed in the vent, caught. If she jumped out, caught. She gave a swift sigh before hearing the lid of the vent clang somewhat away from the vent itself, on the ground. She grinned and decided she might as well jump out, go out in style.

Just as she saw a shadow come towards the light that had entered the vent, she jumped out into the classroom, incidentally, landing on the Principal's face. He was pushed onto the group and she stood there on his face. She stepped off him and bent down to pick up her pen as the whole class starred at her. She smiled and gave a short wave to them all. "Eventful day, no?" She asked them.

Daisy looked utterly shocked- she wasn't really of course but it was good to pretend. "Paige?!" She siad in a quiet voice. Her shocked expression turned into that of a bemused expression, "I thought you were going to skive class running away like that. But, you came back. Miss wouldn't have known you ran away. Why didn't you just come back through the door?" Daisy was thinking to herself in a satisfied way swimmingly... but she kept her bemused and innocent exterior. "Were you busy this morning? Did you have something more important to do?" Daisy knew she was getting suspicious and so just stared at Paige, her saphire eyes wide and baffled.

Turning to the Principal, Daisy shrugged her shoulders a little bit and then turned to the class that were now looking between her, Paige and the two teachers. Her vocie croaked a little as she said in an either quieter voice "hi..."

Paige glanced over to Daisy as she looked convincingly shocked. Although, Paige wasn't so gullible now. She had seen a mischievous grin on her face, even if just for a moment. As well, she had pointed Paige out. It was obvious she knew Paige had been in the vent. Then she started to fire out random questions and Paige smiled sheepishly, scratching the back of her head. "Those are a lot of questions you know..." She commented for a moment before pausing. "I felt like going to class today and if I went through the door Mr. Principal here," she pointed to the half-conscious Principal, "would have come barging in. Then that would have ruined the class." She shrugged here and continued to smile, despite getting the feeling that Daisy wasn't exactly going to be helpful. "In any case, you know where I was. I was outside under that tree." She sighed and gave a short glare to her before looking to the principal.

"It seems as though I must leave here." She walked over to the window, passing by Angel and dropping her cell phone she had dropped onto her desk. She pulled open the window and glanced down. Two floors up.... She sighed silently before spotting a tree and smiling. She waved back to the class before jumping out, hoping she would reach the tree. If not, she would end up heading to the hospital.

As she went from the window towards the tree, she noticed that she had overestimated the jump, which meant that she would go into the tree and probably land into the trunk. She gulped as she went through the leaves and hoped that the tree wouldn't be very hard.

Daisy squealed as she jumped a look of actual concern on her face and then her mind started ticking again. "But she wasn't...she wasn't there at the beginning of the morning." Then she said in a convincingly frightened way "What if she isn't afraid to put others at risk either? What if she would delibrately set out to hurt someone?"

Her voice trailed off as she stared apparently into space. Her eyes were glazed over a little and her gaze was fixed on a spec of dust on the wall near the window. She the screwed up her face. "The science labs...she isn't that much of a rebel....is she?" She looked imploringly into the eyes of the principal and then to the eyes of the class searching for something...ANYTHING!

((My goodness.... if I was one of the people in the room, I'd punch Daisy as hard as i could.... she's crawling under my skin... the little twerp... stressed ))

The students looked from one way to another after hearing what Daisy had said. True, Paige was a rebel, or at least that was what she was around school, but that didn't mean that she would blow up the science labs. Or, at least that was what those that knew her the best out of the class thought. It was certain that at least a few thought so. After what she had just pulled here, it seemed as though she HAD blown up the science labs. Yet, some, who did not believe Daisy's accusations, stepped up.

"Just what proof do you have that Paige possibly could have done this?" It was a girl who stepped up, her hands on her hips glaring at Daisy. "True, she did just fly out the window, but what she said before seems more realistic to me than what you're saying now." It was obvious this girl was angry at Daisy for making the accusations, but she wasn't saying Paige didn't do it either. There was a chance, she was rather good at chemistry and would know how to blow something up easily. "Besides that, its seems as though you're talking as if you know everything about her." The girl was getting more and boy angry by the second.

A boy, slightly taller than the girl stepped out and tried to clam her down, "Calm down now, don't need to frighten her anymore...." The girl turned to him with a glare and he sighed slightly. "Why don't we just check the video cameras...." He trailed off, making the girl calm down slightly and look to Daisy.

"Yeah! That way we'll know what really happened..." The girl beamed at Daisy as the class looked to one another before nodding. It was possible Paige could have done it, but there was no motive behind it. There was some doubt, by the cameras watched the inside and outside of school at all times. It would be easy to see where Paige was all morning and possibly to see whoever set up the lab explosion.

At this time, the Principal had sat up and slowly stood up. He was slightly dizzy from the stomping he had gotten and he had a horrible headache, but he had managed to hear what the class had said. he nodded to them all, showing that he agreed while the teacher went off to her desk and opened a book. It was decided, her class had been ruined and she would just hqave to wait for the next period.

Daisy quivvered and looked to the girl who was angry and shyed away from her. She said in a voice that was barely audiable above the whisperings of the class, "I was just guessing.." She watched, her saphire eyes as-wide-as dinner plates. Her bottom lips trembled convincingly and her small frame added to the poor-innocent-girl look. She stared out from under her silky frinnge but glanced away every so often finding difficult to keep eye contact with someone so angry. She kept on flickering back to the window her mind planning, ticking away under smooth exterior. Had she perhaps bitten off more than she could chew? It wasn't likely.

Daisy was very nearly grateful when the boy intervened and gave him a half smile. That was before he mentioned the cameras. She knew about the cameras and had been sneaky enough to slip in the white powder to the salt when she was chatting with the girls who had been her victim. She was careful enough to have it hidden in the layers of her skirt and of course disposed of any evidence carefully. She had also taken into account the cctv camera in the storeroom and deliberately chose students out of its view having snooped around in the cctv security room before. She would not be caught. But still, nor would Paige.

However, quick to react like always, Daisy nodded enthusiastically her eyes smiling but the rest of the her expression blank. Although Paige would not be caught. How likely was it that she would be either? Impossible. She was too sneaky. Too manipulative and clever. As the class headed to the door she shot a quick glance over to the window, her expression that of genuine concern. I wonder if she is okay... Daisy thought. She made sure that she was near the front of the line when she murmmered "I wonder if she is okay. That was a mighty thud..." but she continued walking all the same.

Towards the tapes they would go carefully. Her heart pounded vigorously in her chest. She knew she was safe but she also knew that it would look like a genuine mistake that the girls salt was accidently mixed with some strange white powder. Where was the fun in that?

((I know! What a nasty piece of work! Mind you. Manipulative she may be but also clever.))

The Principal led the way to the room where the cameras were connected to monitors. Much of the class was wondering the same thing that Daisy was, was Paige really okay? They had heard the thump, but they hadn't seen her come out from the tree. Some where even wondering if she was in the air vents as of right now. Perhaps she was even watching them as of right now.

"Okay!" Yelled the girl from before as they entered the room and the Principal went to rewinding the tapes to earlier this morning when the chemistry lab explosion had went off. Everyone starred at the screens, waiting for the big explosion. The time had been somewhere between 7:50am and 8:10am.

There were a few people in the chemistry lab, like any other day, either finishing up a project or other wise. It seemed a few girls were doing a project, or at least it seemed that way. Just a moment or so before the big explosion, the cameras were fogged, or something of the sort. Then the explosion happened, most people were rather annoyed and the principal paused all the tapes.

Most of the class was silent, not sure what had happened. They couldn't say Paige didn't do it, but there was no proof that she hadn't. They were back at the beginning. Or, at least they thought so.

One of the girls had been watching a different tape because she couldn't see the tape everyone was watching. "Everyone?" She mumbled, but loud enough for them to hear. She pointed towards the screen that had been frozen and Paige was there, under the tree, doing nothing at the exact same time of the chemistry lab explosion. There was no way she could have done it.

"Ha!" yelled the girl, pleased Paige wasn't the one to do it. "There's proof she didn't do it. There's no way she can be in two places at the same time." Obviously the girl was happy and the class started to talk again while the boy from before was attempting to calm them all down. The Principal, well, he was silent, shocked she had been in one place, out in the open, relaxing, and having no teachers come up to her.

Daisy's heart beat slowed and she smiled as she saw the image of Paige sitting under the tree. She was pleased that all her plaaing had worked out okay and she was in the clear also. She turned to look at the girl who was now smiling down at her smugly but she merely smiled back brightly.

Then Daisies face turned paler than before. "Do you think she is okay? I mean. I heard her in the tree...but did she get up?" Her expression was of genuine concern because despite her harsh and evil inside, she would still feel terrible if someone got seriously injured- or worse- because of her. She looked up at all the students around her and to the principal. "She is okay...right? Someone did check..." Daisy looked at the blank and concerned expressions and then ran out of the room and towards the exit with great speed for someone as small as her.

Her hair flew behind her and she dropped her bag in the chase, but right now she didn't care. This would do wonders for her image not to mention her peace of mind. Her wellies slowed her down much to her disgrace and she heard the cries of teachers behind her to tell her off for running in the corridors. She ignored them and kept on running making loud thudding noises, her saphire eyes fixed on the door- getting ever closer.

All the chatter stopped when Daisy mentioned Paige. They had completely forgotten about her run in with the tree. Just what had happened? It didn't seem as though, now that they thought about it, that she could have survived without even being slightly injured. They all glanced to one when she mentioned if anyone had checked on Paige. It turned out no one had. Within seconds after everyone had obviously found out none of them had checked on Paige, they looked back to Daisy, but she was already gone, and quite quickly with that. Without seconds thoughts, they followed after her, the Principal along with them.

Paige groaned as she slid off from the bottom branch of the tree onto the ground. She had hit the tree hard and had stayed hidden for a few minutes, but when everything was quiet, she had decided to slip down and head home. She had managed to end up without many deep scrapes but she did end up with a twisted ankle. She knew after she walked on it for a short amount of time, she would be okay. Right now she had to get home quickly.

She heard teachers yelling as she touched the ground. She couldn't make out what they were saying exactly, but she could only guess that someone might be coming into the area soon. She couldn't stay at the tree. The only chance she had was to sprint to the front gates and go past the first bunch of traffic lights, then she could easily conceal herself within the crowd.

She took a deep breath, ready for whatever pain she would feel. Then, she turned around, glanced back to the school, placed pressure on her foot for a moment and decided she would run as fast as she could.

3... 2.... Just as Paige was about to run, she heard the doors open and glanced back.

Daisy charged into the doors and pushed them open with a bit of a bang as they swung and hit the wall s on the other side. She did not step out of stride as she ran out onto the cement path. She stood breathless and with a smile when she saw Paige standing there healthy as ever so it seemed.

Daisy was considering shouting out to Paige but then she tilted her head and glanced back into the building where teachers and other students were fast approaching. She decided she had allready given Paige enough trauma for one day and so gave her a meaningful look before turning back to the people still panting heavily but now with a baffled look on her face.

"She's-she's-she's-gone." she said in between breaths and in a slightly defeated voice. Her saphire eyes glittered again in the light and she hoped that Paige would still be running. As fast as the wind if she was wise. Daisy wasn't entirely sure where this merciful side of her was coming from and yet here it was.

She was confused in her mind. A battle between her devious side and her remorseful side. She thuded towards the students and teachers in her wellies, her footsteps hard and strong. Run! Run! she was thinking but her exterior showed no sign for them to believe that she was telling the utter truth.

The footsteps slowed but still they advanced, like a mob of motorbikes that needed a little while before they came to a complete stop. She glanced around at the faces- one of which was the out-spoken girl. The girl looked at Daisy narrowing her eyes a little suspiciously. But Daisy shrugged at her and raised her eyebrows in a way that would show that Daisy hadn't the foggiest idea about what had happened.

Only now, when the girl pushed past her to go towards the doors did Daisy think why are you covering for her???? You were setting her up a moment ago and yet now you are saving her! Fool! A sigh escaped her sugary lips as she turned to look a little sceptically at the girl who was fast approaching the door.

Paige had starred at Daisy, Daisy had starred at her, then she turned around and blocked the way to the doors. Paige didn't understand. Before she had pointed Paige out and she was sue that Daisy wasn't the nice girl that everyone seemed to think. Then she didn't yell to the others that she was fine. Just who's side was she on? Paige didn't bother to stay on the subject long as she turned back and dashed off as fast as she could. later, once her ankle was better, she would probably ask Daisy about it.

She ran fast, as fast as she could with a twisted ankle. Somehow she managed to get past the school gate and out into the streets. Then she sped across the crosswalk and came to the other side just as the light showed green. She was safe, for now. She took a deep breath, feeling the pain in her ankle, but she had to keep going, at least until she was far enough away from school.

She began to walk down the street, knowing there was probably an alley near by she could rest in. She limped for quite a while until she actually came to an alley and sat down. Hoping that no one had seen her and followed, although she was sure the cameras had caught her little escape.

Angel just sent out a look that said "Just what the hell is going on?!"
She had put the camera away, grateful that paige had found it, then watched her jump out the window and heard the class fight.
She stared at the window though. They, were on the second floor and she wondered how she could have gotten away without injury...

Then they all went and whatched the camera recordings, watched the explosion, and saw Paige under the tree. then she heard the comment about Paige from Disy and followed her outside, being mindful about any bubble space Daisy may have. She didnt want to annoy her for following, but she wanted to make sure the girl who returned her cellphone was alright.

But when they got outside, Paige wasn't there. at least she's not unconscious...or.... She couldnt think of the event of someone dying. Though she had seen her parents die, she never wanted to see it again.
"'Lest she's alive," she said aloud to Daisy, before they turned and went back inside.
