Well hey, everyone else is doing it! Mine might not be quite up to par with everyone else's, but I've only recently realized that I really enjoy taking photos. sweatdrop Stream in the woods behind my house. It was around 8am, so the sun was shining really nice whee Cardinal. Blossom. I love this one because it was a little flower all by itself, which was a little odd. Mushrooms!

I bet if you tried desaturating that pic and then turning up the contrast it would look even better than it already does! (Just a suggestion though, I'm a contrast junkie xD ).

Ooh! I like 'em... I'd probably focus tighter on the bird -- but I tend to narrow the view too much sometimes, I think, so... heh.
The saturation is how vibrant the colors are; completley desaturating it would render it black and white. And the contrast... well, contrast between hues. Too high, and it often loses the subtleties and forms, and just becomes dark and light smudges; if the contrast's too low, it's just all grey. ^^
What program do you edit them in?

Ah, that makes sense...a bit, lol. I don't really edit them, other than shrinking them down(since for some reason my camera takes huge pictures) and then cutting some of the background out--and I just use paint for that sweatdrop

How big are the raw images, anyway? My camera can take some pretty massive ones, but it's got different settings. I think I've got four sizes to choose from, of which I'm always on the middle two. What kind of camera is yours, anyway?
And even for shrinking images I'd recommend just about anything but Paint. It doesn't render very smoothly, so there's the tendency for reduced images to look more grainy than they have any reason to be... there's a free program called The Gimp, which is linux-based software for PC (I don't have it anymore cos of... well, Apple. ^^) and similar in setup and function to Photoshop, so there's a pretty broad range of options that you can play with (contrast and saturation are only the beginning!). ^_~

Hmm, I might just have to try that Gimp out. Could be fun biggrin
As far as the size...they come out 2592x1944 eek I'm sure I can change the settings...I just have no idea how. My boyfriend's mom gave me this camera when she got a new one, and she didn't give me the instruction manual stressed So it's pretty much learn as I go...I only just figured out how to do videos lol But it's just a Sony Cyber-shot. Nothing fancy emo
