Cordain smirked and stretched, "If you're going to take much longer Hal I'll just leave the car with you, take my motorcycle and head on back. I do have a client meeting."
Hal glances back, and says without so much as a bat of the eyelash, "So we're going out to send someone to their grave tonight?"
Cordain shook his head, "You're staying home tonight, I want to do this one alone. Been aching to play with my prey for a bit."

The young woman's pale blue eyes shimmered with interest, her past pestering her mind. Ignoring them the best she could Kris smiled and looked at the teen bickering to his father, it seemed like they were people she'd like to get to know better, maybe...
'No. We moved to get away! No, you moved away because you're a dirty little coward. Am not. Are too. Am not! Yes you are, you just left Kate and Jay there...'
Conflicting arguements raged in her head, it seemed as though her past would catch up to her no matter where. Thankfully the two strangers knew nothing of it, and if she had anything to do with it, they never would. Not Nara, not Halcyon or Cordain or that stranger that the other woman had in tow when she met her. Nobody would get a glance at her past, not if she could avoid it.
"Well I've got some more shopping to do, gotta' go get Akki a bed and clothes. It was a pleasure meeting you both."
With a uneven tone Kris smiled and nodded to the two men before turning on her boot's heal and, with Akki of course in her arm this time took to exiting the building. It was time to find a bed and some other things before going home and trying to explain the child to Aoshi, that'd be a trip.

Cordain smirks slightly, "Hum...She's interesting...carries herself like someone who's killed before and maybe even enjoyed it..."
Halcyon gave a shrug as he tossed a box into it, "Yea...Speaking of which, no talking to Isdra about our...nightly endeavors okay?"
Cordain nodded and they moved on out of the store.

Akki scrambled to get down as the two got to the woman's beaten car, it was the gray one that had been used when she'd been shot at a long while back at the block. Sitting the child down and belting him in there were small red stains next to the arm rest, a sigh slipped from Kris' lips before shoving the two bags under one of the seats and slipping inside the car. It was rusty slightly and as she turned the engine to start it a odd noise came from it before hearing a 'clank' as the muffler started working right.
"Alright, off to find you a bed then..."
"Bed."
"Yeah kid, bed...."
Kris shut the car door firmly, giving the small child a scare for a moment. Finally she turned on the radio, which was more of a system than anything else and as the speakers started to pump music from them she put her arm around the passenger's seat and turned to look behind her. She backed up easily and moved the gear into drive, turning the wheel quickly to avoid another car Kris and Akki blew past and out to the redlight at the store's enterence.
"Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever escape it..."
She muttered as the light turned green and the beat up old car pulled out into the streets again.
