A good likelihood is that the Grunny Strain and Perfect Heir strains negated each other ... That's why Gino and Johnny aren't Grombies.

That ... or deactivated (like those vaccines we have to get for polio and junk)

Could some sequence in their DNA be the deactivators themselves? Such that they are naturally immune?

Didn't X state that he got the vial he used on Gino from the previous experiments?

Also I've always wondered about the strain used to revive flarn.
The manga says that Mother revived him with a bizzar mix of Gaian and Zurg technology.
In my opinion she perfected the virus creating a
"perfected G virus" or possibly a "Z virus".

True... if I'm not mistaken...

*Mother Revived Flarn using the newly created mix (that we here name "Z Virus")
* Mother and the other Zurgs "return" home and nothing is known of them today...
* Ron Bruise has gone "missing" after his sudden "appearance"
* Ron is said to be with Mother and they "left Gaia"
* Mother stated that in "5 years" the end of Gaia would occur if we refused to accept her help... ...and it would be by the hands of Johnny K. Gambino and the "G Virus"

BUT

*What if the "Z Virus" WAS a real creation of Mother and she "left" to make it "perfect" and use it against Gambino and the "G Virus"?
* 5 years... if I'm not mistaken that pin points our 5 anniversary (next year)... We have many plots to uncover before that...
* What if the "Z Virus" is intend to do worse than the "G Virus"?
