Dear Monsignor, STOP
This last Sabbath I spent the afternoon not in rest, but wringing my hands at the unconceivable horror that has been wrought in the name of scientific inquiry. Good sir, hast you any idea what a pernicious path we have embarked upon? Certainly, any plan to accelerate a form as fragile as a human body, even one so sturdy as Her Majesty's Finest, can not but fail to bring the Empire to its very knees! The Promethean endeavored upon which you have so callously embarked can only lead to despair, and if that is not enough to cause second doubts, I must confess, I find it in no small measure to be prideful!.
I expect to return from my research at Argyre Planitia by planetary canon-ball within the month, upon which I hope we can discuss this matter further. I hope Gertrude is well, and I have enclosed a pair of sterio-optigrams of Olympus Mons which I hope young Prudence and Hortence find pleasant diversions.
My Fondest Regards,
Sir Aloysius Farwheather Jr.

Dear me... I just had a flash of what was either brilliance, or something that will be recognized as naught but terrible humor. (Or a bright spot on my plane of dyslexia.) Phrases such as BTB, IS, HH, WWW and so on are not acronyms, but, rather anachronyms. When used in modern context, of course.

Shouldn't JG, or Jolly Good, be up there? And while we're at it, why not add OB, or Old Bean? 'Tis quite peculiar to think they're not included, WWW, OB!

(The upcoming post is a thanks to my dearest friend for creating this phrase)
Applau.
If 'Applause' is a present tense noun, but plural, and 'Applaud' is either a past or future tense verb, then what is a present tense and singular noun for the term? 'Applau'!
Example: There are only two people in a room. One says something that would normally call for 'Applause', but seeing as there is only one other person in the room, they can give them an applau!
Edit: Also, instead of BYOB (Buy Your Own Beer), how about AYOA - Acquire Your Own Absinthe? (Thank god for insomnia. Feel free to make one up for the drink of your choice).
