I iz da Spirit Polize! Freeze or I blast u with my PSI-beam that is normally illegal to use b/c it is da shitz!

Mmm k....while the original post this thread smells like moonbeam, I think there is a way to destroy a soul in such a way that it doesn't reincarnate. Sure the energy goes somewhere, but the soul doesn't come back later on. Its gone. There's only one kind of thing I can think of that pretty much kills off a soul and that is actually a self-sacrifice, kinda altruistic and stuff.

How and why would anyone want to do that? surprised

For the same reasons why someone would sacrifice his life for someone else's. Love is the usual culprit. Whether its the mother taking the gun shot for her children or the guy pushing his girl out of the way of the car so that he gets hit instead. Someone could also sacrifice themselves in favor of an idea or belief.

Now, I've only heard of this thing done in the astral and its a pretty frickin big ritual that requires a couple witnesses and suicide. I've never really seen it done, just heard of it.

Damn. I'm never gonna find a guy like that. crying

'Neways, so the person commits suicide? And prevents his/her soul from coming back? Then what happens to it? Where does it go? Does it go anywhere? Does the law of conservation of matter come into play? If it does, how so? How does commiting suicide and preventing you soul from coming back equate to love?

I think what happens is that the energy from the dead soul goes to the person or ideal that the sacrifice was done for. If the ritual was done out of love for someone, then the energy goes to form a potent bit of protection. That's just a theory based on what I've seen. After this ritual is performed, the person who was "saved" is incredibly hard to kill. So the trade off is having some potent shielding but losing someone you love.

That sounds like what Lily did for Harry when You-Know-Who tried to kill him. =O
